The sixth chakra, our third-eye, has the potential energy to open up our ability to trust our intuition, to allow ourselves to ‘see’ beyond the evident and trust our ‘visions’. The swirling indigo energy between our brow has the potential to allow life energy–prana-chi-Universal Source, God –to be the wind beneath our wings.

So much of our lives depend upon our Third Eye Chakra being clear and balanced
because we create our realities based on our thoughts,
and our thoughts are often visual in nature.
Everything we imagine,
all our hopes, dreams, goals,
visions and aspirations
are all part of our Third Eye Chakra.
If we are “seeing” beautiful versions of our lives,
then that is what we create.
If we are seeing fearful worrisome situations,
then that is what we tend to manifest…….

When we are mindful of the absolute correlation between what we have been thinking and feeling—and what is manifesting in our life experience—we will be more aware of the stimulation of our own thoughts.

All of us are connected to the limitless power and most of us aren’t using but a fraction of it!!

I AM is a positive vibration, not I wish I was…..
Repeat these affirmations once every morning and once every evening when you wish to access your Brow Chakra. Use ‘I am’ as your positive affirmations as that is a vibration:

AROMAS: Mugwort–aka Artemesia Vulgaria’s essence has the potential–if given your positive intentions, to stimulate the third eye chakra while opening the soul to a wider consciousness. Mugwort essence may drive stagnant energy out of the psychic body.

MEDITATION: Put your hands before the lower part of your breast. The middle fingers are straight and touch at the tops, pointing forward. The other fingers are bended and touch at the upper two phalanges. The thumbs point towards you and touch at the tops.
Concentrate on the Third Eye chakra slightly above the point between the eyebrows.
Chant the sound OM or AUM. Be still, sit quietly and pay attention only to your breathing letting all thoughts of the mind drift away like clouds. As your awareness goes deeper inner treasures of the real you become available. A quiet mind is peaceful, joyful, compassionate and imaginative because these qualities already exist within us all. Meditation simply enables us to connect to them.


Continue your meditation by letting your eyes sink deep into your skull and letting your tongue relax in your throat. Release tension in your jaw by relaxing your chin, and let your shoulders drop as you take several deep, relaxing breaths. The more you can attune your attention to your breath, the easier it is to slip into a meditational state where the mind is still and you experience peace all around you. Allow the stillness to activate the qualities of wisdom, knowledge, intuition, discernment and imagination as you focus on the truth of your experiences and feel more deeply in touch with your own true nature. As you become more peaceful, focused and relaxed, visualize a large, indigo blue, five-pointed star. Locate this in your Brow Chakra, between your eyebrows. Expand the form and intensify the color.

Move through each one of the five points and designate them as wisdom, discernment, imagination, intuition and knowledge. Feel the flow of energy move through each one of the points. It will expand the energy field and open you to developing these qualities within yourself. You can reflect on each one of these qualities by itself and visualize how it would manifest in your life. How might you use more discernment? What might you change if you allowed your intuition to guide you? What type of knowledge might help you through a difficult time? How would you imagine your life in five years’ time?

Allow the light from this energy field to expand and fill your entire head with a soft light that permeates your interior space. This is the light of consciousness which will bring you peace of mind and inner knowing. It is the light of truth, which expresses your deepest longing for oneness, love and beauty.

Let this light fill the recesses of your mind as you allow it to expand and fill you. See the beautiful, rich indigo blue light fill your eyes, ears, nose and mouth and cover your entire face and skull. See that light filling your head and cooling off any agitated emotions or sense of frustration you may be feeling. Allow this light to run through every nerve ending in your brain and cool you off and give you a deep sense of balance and well-being. Give yourself permission to sit quietly and explore this light of consciousness for several minutes. Are there images that come to your awareness, or words? If they repeat themselves they may hold an important message for you. If any images appear in your mind’s eye while you are meditating, allow them to be there; simply notice them and give them space. As you practice this meditation it will become easier to focus your attention and concentrate on this inner light.

When you are ready to complete this meditation, visualize a cross of light within a circle of light sealing and protecting the Brow Chakra. This will seal in the energy that you have opened up from practicing this meditation As you practice more often, you will find your mind is clear and receptive to ideas that can support you in your life development.
YOGA:
Downward Facing Dog,
Concentrate on your indigo colored energy field circulating between your brows and on your intention to SEE the big picture as you hold this position.

Come down on the floor and kneel on all fours with your back flat.
Walk your hands farther forward, your palms flat on the floor. Spread your fingers and establish firm contact with the floor.
Exhale and lift your tailbone straightening your legs and keeping your feet flat on the floor. Lengthen your tailbone away from the pelvis. Keep lifting your sit bones towards the ceiling.
Strengthen your knees, but make sure you do not lock them.
Your hands and arms are straight, keep firm contact with the floor, pressing your palms into the mat.
Downward facing dog is one of the poses in the Sun Salutation sequence. It is a wonderful pose to calm the mind and energize the whole body. You can stay in this pose for 1-3 minutes focusing on your insightful third eye.

Child’s Pose (Balasana)
While in Child’s Pose, feel your third eye touching the floor and breathe into it, feeling centered and clear. Be brave. Connect with and listen to your intuition while in the pose. Affirmation: I AM connected to my intuition.

Relishing the visionary indigo glow of your third-eye’s insight. The 3rd Eye indigo chakra vibrates at the ‘A’ note or ‘La’ on the ‘Sound of Music’ scale and to the sound of OM
hum the sound anytime you remember to do it – a great time is when you’re taking a walk, sprucing up about your environment, looking for something appear in the ‘frigerator etc.

Essentially, when you sing or chant each note, you want to hold that note until you physically feel a resonance in your throat; if you’re highly attuned to your body, you may feel the resonance in other parts of your body as well, but if you don’t, it’s still there, doing its job. Allow the note to resonate in your throat, holding it for the duration of your breath, and repeat for several minutes.

Visualize the sound frequencies vibrating in the chakra, clearing out any blockages much like ultrasound therapy breaks up crystals in the gallbladder or urinary tract. It’s really the same concept, except that the blockages you are dealing with in the chakras are not of a physical nature.

MEDITATION

Begin meditating by sitting in a place where you feel comfortable and safe to explore your inner reality. You can light a candle or burn incense if you choose. Begin to relax by letting your eyes sink deep into your skull and let your tongue relax in your throat. Release tension in your jaw by relaxing your chin, and let your shoulders drop as you take several deep, relaxing breaths. The more you can attune your attention to your breath, the easier it is to slip into a meditational state where the mind is still and you experience peace all around you. When you feel receptive, begin the meditation for the Brow Chakra. It is designed to activate the qualities of wisdom, knowledge, intuition, discernment and imagination. It will help you to focus on the truth of your experiences and put you more deeply in touch your own true nature. As you relax, visualize a large, indigo blue, five-pointed star. Locate this in your Brow Chakra, between your eyebrows. Expand the form and intensify the colour.

Go through each one of the five points and designate them as wisdom, discernment, imagination, intuition and knowledge. Feel the flow of energy move through each one of the points. Our third-eye, also known as the Brow Chakra, is a main point for external life energy (prana, chi) to enter and be distributed to the other chakras. It is also a key to ongoing spiritual development. Thus, keeping it as clear and balanced as possible is your ingenuity at work.

YOGA:build awareness in your ajna chakra to begin to see everything in your life more clearly.
start by doing an awakening exercise for the ajna chakra. Take a comfortable seat. Softly close your eyes. Turn your gaze gently to your third eye, or the space between your eyebrows. Bring your hands to a prayer position and begin rubbing them together vigorously.

Once you have created a good amount of heat between your palms, cup them over your eyes. Let the eyes absorb the heat. Feel the heat soften any tension in or around the eyes. Repeat this process 3 times pausing to feel between each round.

Set Your Ajna Intention
Now set your intention for this practice. To grease the wheels, here are some themes that relate to the sixth chakra: Unlocking intuition; improving correct perception; seeing that you are connected to everyone and everything; inviting third eye wisdom to light your way. Feel free to use any of these or choose your own. As long as your intention feels true for you it has value.

Dolphin Plank
Come onto your hands and knees. Bring your elbows to the floor directly under your shoulders and bring your hands to Prayer (Anjali Mudra). Step the feet back as you straighten your legs behind you. The only points of contact with the floor are the balls of the feet and the forearms. Make your legs super strong, engage your belly and pull your front ribs in and up to widen the low back. This is a challenging pose, stick with it! Imagine the prayer hands and the third eye are connected by an invisible stream. That stream is your intention. Stay laser-focused on it for 5–10 breaths. Let your resolve to attach to something worthy of your attention make you strong. When you release the pose, rest on your belly.

Eagle Pose
Garudasana
From standing bend your knees. Lift your right knee and stack it on top of your left. Then wrap your right foot behind your left shin if possible. Bring your arms to shoulder height and stack your left elbow on top of your right, wrapping the right hand into the left. Keep elbows bent at 90 degrees. Balance here bringing your hips down low. Encourage your knees to move toward the midline instead of skewing to one side. The word “garuda” means to devour. Let this pose devour ego, doubt, and fear, clearing the way for loving intention. Spend 5 breaths on this side and then switch.

Warrior III Pose
Virabhadrasana III
From standing with arms by your side, engage your legs and begin to tip the pelvis forward. Send your left leg straight back and up until it is parallel to the floor. Extend the spine and head forward also keeping the upper body parallel to the floor. There should be plum line from the head to the left toes. Reach your arms straight back and firm the triceps. Lift your low belly to widen the low back and stand here strong and balanced. Connect with the third eye center and realize that the more we connect to everyone and everything, the easier it is for us to remain balanced even in the least stable conditions. Stay here for 5 breaths, soft but strong.

Dolphin Pose
This pose is similar to Downward-Facing Dog except its done on the forearms. Begin on your hands and knees. Place your elbows directly under your shoulders and bring your hands to anjali mudra as you did in Dolphin Plank. Tuck your toes and lift your hips up and back as you straighten your legs. Feet should be about hip-width apart. Firm your shoulder blades into the ribs and lift the shoulders away from the ears to free your neck. Walk your feet in a little closer to your arms, bring the thumbs of your prayer mudra to the third eye. Spend 3 breaths here, bringing all of your attention to the third eye center.

Child’s Pose
Balasana
Time to rest! From hands and knees, ease the sitbones back onto the heels into Child’s Pose. Gently rest your forehead on the earth, reach your arms forward and take 5 slow breaths. Let the gentle pressure on the third eye sink you deeper into a meditative and insightful repose. Allow your whole body to release deeply.

BROW Chakra Friday

Friday resonates with the SIXTH chakra — the BROW, also known as the Third Eye located between and above your  two eye brows. Your psychic abilities and imagination are associated with the chakra. It vibrates  in the pituitary gland allowing us to see the inner and outer worlds.

Friday BROW CHAKRA

FRIDAY resonates with the SIXTH chakra — the BROW, also known as the Third Eye located between and above your two eyebrows. Your psychic abilities and imagination are associated with the chakra. Being in the flow of life is a main function of this chakra.

The BROW chakra vibrates to the key of A and is associated with the color INDIGO/VIOLET. It is pretty much in control of our pituitary  and pineal glands as well as eyesight.

The pituitary gland is a pea-sized structure located at the base of the brain, just below the hypothalamus, to which it is attached via nerve fibers. It is part of the endocrine system and produces critical hormones, which are chemical substances that  control various bodily functions.

The Pineal gland, another of the endocrine system organs, is located deep in the center of the brain and was once known as the “third eye.” (story on recent discovery of an actual third eye that I will share one day). The pineal gland produces melatonin, which helps maintain circadian rhythm and regulate reproductive hormones.

Energize your pineal gland, which controls your body’s biorhythms and works with your pituitary & hypothalamus to direct activities such as thirst, hunger, sexual desire, and your biological clock

This chakra is a spinning vortex of biophysical energy or “Wheel of Light” that absorbs and transmits universal energy in and out of our  body. Not only does it represents  the pituitary and pineal gland but sub-conscious and conscious states of mind as well.

The chakra system is an integral part in maintaining the overall health and well being of the mind, body and spirit, balancing our “Prana” or “Life Force”.       The reason this matters is because our emotions affect  the vibrations and energy of the chakras and therefore of the bodily functions.

When this chakra is balanced we feel clear, focused, and can determine between truth and illusion. We are open to receiving wisdom and insight.   Negative feelings and emotions put your chakras off their game. Mostly, these are related to low self-esteem!
It is believed that each of the chakras absorb and filters the energy that we emit through our thoughts and actions as well as through the thoughts and actions of all those that we come into contact with. When one of the chakras is out of balance as a result of negative energy flowing through it, it begins to spin too slowly or too fast. When a chakra is not balanced, it can effect that physical region of the body and also effect very specific aspects of our spiritual and emotional selves.   So chose positive people and think positive thoughts for your health and, as Thich Nhat Hanh would say, “for the health of the world”.

Thunderbolt Pose, Vajrasana                                                                                                       Sit on your heels with your spine straight and your knees about hip width apart. Rest your palms on your thighs. You can place a towel underneath your buttocks if your knees feel uncomfortable.
With your spine straight release all your weight down through your sit bones.
Breathe in and out through your nose.
Allow your spine to lengthen upwards and your shoulders release and widen.
Allow your gaze to gently rest on the floor about 4 feet in front of you.( good place for a candle and your crystals)
Continue breathing and observe your thoughts. Watch them like clouds on a sunny day passing you by. Do not become engaged with the thoughts, just allow them to pass by.
With this pose, you are cultivating “witness” consciousness or being the “detached observer”. You do not engage with your thoughts, you simply allow them to pass by as if you were watching clouds drift away on a sunny day.
The effects of cultivating this ability to observe your thoughts and not be engaged in the story, are amazing. You will find having more compassion for yourself, you will begin to see patterns of behavior that do not serve you and you will be able to gradually change these patterns. You will experience greater unity with others and the world around you. You will experience greater peace, inner knowing, and joy.

 The sacred thunderbolt pose is a sort of weapon used to get rid of our most powerful enemy – the one within – our inner critic and our judgments that make us feel not good enough.

The power of this pose is observation. It is by observing thoughts and not engaging with them further that we can be released from the grip of these thoughts.
We know from quantum physics that observation impacts that which is being observed. When we simply observe in this pose, we are becoming whole again.  If you give thoughts your attention they become excited and take over as that is what the ego does best–control.  Tell it, “NO” not this time”

SEE YA Later thoughts with LOVE:

Through your day, when ere you think of it,  hum  ‘La’ on the ‘Sound of Music’ scale or chant “OM” while thinking on your third eye swirling in indigo. Feel the vibration.

For more vibration you can either use a singing bowl or any other instrument to have a continuous vibration at a specific frequency;

Essentially, when you sing or chant each note, you want to hold that note until you physically feel a resonance in your throat; if you’re highly attuned to your body, you may feel the resonance in other parts of your body as well, but if you don’t, it’s still there, doing its job.

Visualize the sound frequencies vibrating in the chakra, clearing out any blockages much like ultrasound therapy breaks up crystals in the gallbladder or urinary tract. It’s really the same concept, except that the blockages you are dealing with in the chakras are not of a physical nature.

Use the Indigo colors  in your home, and in your wardrobe – in fact, create a symphony of color and sound within you, allowing the frequencies to mesh and harmonize.

Imagine your happy sparkly visionary day SEEING and creating BEAUTY and GOODNESS

Relish the visionary indigo glow of your third-eye’s insight.  Stay POSITIVE.

#6 SEE, Third EYE, SEE

The SIXTH chakra is the BROW, also known as the Third Eye and is located between the two eye brows. Your psychic abilities and imagination are associated with the chakra. Being in the flow of life is a main function of this chakra. The BROW chakra vibrates to the key of A and is associated with the color INDIGO/VIOLET. It is found in the pituitary gland and is associated with hormones & growth

I listened to the Pineal Gland Activator again while in the pose (which  is my favorite pose because I think it is good for my back and besides do that it is easy to remember and to hold for a long period)

Located above the bridge of the nose, at the brow level, deep within the brain, your third eye chakra allows us to see the inner and outer worlds.

On the physical level, the third eye chakra is associated with the pituitary and pineal glands, eyes, and the brain.
On the emotional level, third eye chakra imbalances may manifest as denial and fear.
On the mental level, third eye chakra imbalance may have poor memory
On the spiritual level, third eye chakra issues may show up as being spaced out,  inability to see deeper truth and connections, distrusting one’s intuition or inner voice
