See BEYOND illusions with YOUR Third Eye Energy

The sixth chakra, our third-eye, has the potential energy to open up our ability to trust our intuition, to allow ourselves to ‘see’ beyond the evident and trust our ‘visions’. The swirling indigo energy between our brow has the potential to allow life energy–prana-chi-Universal Source, God –to be the wind beneath our wings.

image           image From Pinterest and Tumblr.com

So much of our lives depend upon our Third Eye Chakra being clear and balanced
because we create our realities based on our thoughts,
and our thoughts are often visual in nature.
Everything we imagine,
all our hopes, dreams, goals,
visions and aspirations
are all part of our Third Eye Chakra.
If we are “seeing” beautiful versions of our lives,
then that is what we create.
If we are seeing fearful worrisome situations,
then that is what we tend to manifest…….

When we are mindful of the absolute correlation between what we have been thinking and feeling—and what is manifesting in our life experience—we will be more aware of the stimulation of our own thoughts.

All of us are connected to the limitless power and most of us aren’t using but a fraction of it!!

I AM is a positive vibration, not I wish I was…..
Repeat these affirmations once every morning and once every evening when you wish to access your Brow Chakra. Use ‘I am’ as your positive affirmations as that is a vibration:

I THINK THE VERY BEST OF MY SELF IN ALL SITUATIONS, AT ALL TIMES.

I open myself to know my inner guidance and deepest wisdom.

I align my consciousness with the source of all life.

I AM unlimited in my capacity for joy, healing and happiness.

I release and forgive the past.

I open myself to new energy, new people, places and experiences.

I live in the light of my truth and I accept what I know.

I know I AM full of the Universal Source of grace, light and love.

I AM the source of truth and love in my life
As I tap into my inner wisdom, I know that all is well in my world.

MEDITATION

Begin meditating by sitting in a place where you feel comfortable and safe to explore your inner reality. You can light a candle or burn incense if you choose. Begin to relax by letting your eyes sink deep into your skull and let your tongue relax in your throat. Release tension in your jaw by relaxing your chin, and let your shoulders drop as you take several deep, relaxing breaths. The more you can attune your attention to your breath, the easier it is to slip into a meditational state where the mind is still and you experience peace all around you. When you feel receptive, begin the meditation for the Brow Chakra. It is designed to activate the qualities of wisdom, knowledge, intuition, discernment and imagination. It will help you to focus on the truth of your experiences and put you more deeply in touch your own true nature. As you relax, visualize a large, indigo blue, five-pointed star. Locate this in your Brow Chakra, between your eyebrows. Expand the form and intensify the colour.

Go through each one of the five points and designate them as wisdom, discernment, imagination, intuition and knowledge. Feel the flow of energy move through each one of the points. It will expand the chakra and open you mind to developing these qualities within yourself. You can reflect on each one of these qualities by itself and visualize how it would manifest in your life. For instance, how would wisdom help you in a particular situation? How would you use discernment if you could develop it? What would you know if you allowed your intuition to guide you? What type of knowledge would help you through a difficult time? How would you imagine your life in five years’ time?

Allow the light from this star to expand and fill your entire head with a soft light that permeates your interior space. This is the light of consciousness which will bring you peace of mind and inner knowing. It is the light of truth, which expresses your deepest longing for oneness, love and beauty.

Let this light fill the dark recesses of your mind as you allow it to expand and fill you. See the beautiful, rich blue light fill your eyes, ears, nose and mouth and cover your entire face and skull. See that light filling your head and cooling off any agitated emotions or sense of frustration you may be feeling. Allow this light to run through every nerve ending in your brain and cool you off and give you a deep sense of balance and well-being. Give yourself permission to sit quietly and explore this light of consciousness for several minutes. Are there images that come to your awareness, or words? If they repeat themselves they may hold an important message for you. If any images appear in your mind’s eye while you are meditating, allow them to be there; simply notice them and give them space. As you practice this meditation it will become easier to focus your attention and concentrate on this inner light.

When you are ready to complete this meditation, visualize a cross of light within a circle of light sealing and protecting the Brow Chakra. This will seal in the energy that you have opened up from practicing this meditation As you practice more often, you will find your mind is clear and receptive to ideas that can support you in your life development. You will feel restored and calm after doing this for a few minutes daily

Blue Throat Chakra Thursday

The fifth chakra, called visuddha, is located at the throat. “Visuddha” , in Sanskrit, means very pure or purification.
Visuddha chakra is associated with ether, the spirit. “You can conceptualize it as a spaciousness around your throat and neck through which profound spiritual truths can flow. The purification aspect implies that in order to fully tap into the power of the visuddha chakra you need to have done a certain amount of work in the other energy centers. In other words, have you addressed the issues associated with chakras 1–4 yet? This will increase your understanding and sensitivity, which will in turn gain you deeper access to the gifts of the more subtle upper chakras.
This energy center is associated with your voice. It relates to your ability to speak your truth, express ideas clearly, truthfully, and gracefully, and become harmoniously attuned to both inner and outer vibrations. ”                                                                                                When the swirling blue potential energy of the throat chakra is out of alignment, you may feel like you don’t know how to ask for what you need and feel unable to shape the world you want to create. Poor communication is the result.
The visuddha chakra bridges the heart and the mind. When that space is clear, it integrates the wisdom of both, allowing profound spiritual truths to flow freely. You will be able to effectively communicate your needs, desires, creative ideas, boundaries, empathy, and love.” (From    YOGA JOURNAL YOGA 101 CHAKRAS,  BY STEPHANIE SNYDER | JAN 19, 2015   “Introduction of Throat Chakra)

MEDITATE  quietly and silently for awhile then Open your visuddha chakra by creating spaciousness around the throat and neck through which profound spiritual truths can flow.
One of the easiest ways to connect with your visuddha energy is to chant. Take a comfortable seat. Softly close your eyes and lips. Relax your face and jaw. Begin to make the sound “mmmmmmmm” at whatever resonant tone is natural for you. Feel the vibration all around the tongue, lips, cheeks, jaw, ears, and throat. Imagine this sound vibrating loose any tension in the throat neck and jaw region. Letting go of the times you have had to bite your tongue or have had a lump in your throat from the fear of speaking up. Feel the vibration purifying and freeing your visuddha energy.

Now set your intention for this practice. To grease the wheels, here are some themes that relate to the fifth chakra: Communicating clearly, honestly, and with compassion; releasing fear of speaking up for yourself or for others; being a good listener; learning not to overtalk or dominate conversations; refraining from gossip. Feel free to use any of these or choose your own. As long as your intention feels true for you it has value.

Neck Release
From a comfortable seated position, extend your spine long and root down into your foundation. Reach your right arm out to the right. Gently begin to release your head and let it hang to the right. Drag your right shoulder and shoulder blade down to create a stable foundation. Now extend your left arm out about 6 inches above the floor and reach out and down to create some traction and a big stretch on the left side of the neck. Spend 5–10 breaths here. Be patient. It takes time for the blood to move through and heal tight and stiff muscle tissue, so try to hold for as long as you can without pain. Make sure your breath is deep and slow and your eyes and jaw remain relaxed. Gently return to center, pause for a moment, and notice the difference, then switch sides.

Seated Cat-Cow
In cross-legged seated position, bring your hands to your knees for leverage. As you inhale, arch your spine forward and gaze up, creating a backbend shape in the spine in a seated variation of Cow Pose (Bitliasana). As you exhale, pull the navel back toward the spine, hollowing front body in a seated variation of Cat Pose (Marjaryasana). As you inhale, head and tail move back and as you exhale, head and tail curl forward and in. This is a complete undulation of the spine that creates a compression and release action in the throat. Go slowly and let each movement span an entire inhalation or exhalation. Find a rhythm that feels good—fluid but not fast. Continue for 5–10 rounds.

Knees-Chest-Chin
Ashtanga Namaskar
In this pose there are eight points of contact, which are meant to represent the eight limbs of Ashtanga Yoga as outlined by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutra. The eight points are feet, hands, knees, chest, and chin. From hands and knees, begin to dip the heart toward the floor. Keeping your buttocks up high, let your chest and chin touch down. You may need to scoot your knees back a bit depending on your flexibility. The front of the throat is extremely open in this pose. Go slowly and consciously. These days we spend so much time using devices that keep our chin stuck to our chest that this pose can be very intense. Spend 3 breaths here and then rest.

image

Fish Pose
Matsyendrasana
To come into Fish Pose, begin lying flat on your back. Walk your hands under your sitting bones with palms face down. Squeeze the arms as close together as you can. Draw shoulder blades toward each other underneath you and pause. Notice how wide open the chest is already here. Moving from the back of the heart, begin to press into your elbows and lift the chest. Rest the top of your head lightly on the floor. Avoid both hanging and putting too much weight on the head. Press down through legs, hands, and elbows to keep your neck supported. Let your heart and throat open. Hold this pose for 5 breaths and then rest.

Throat Chakra Chant + Meditation
Now that you have spent some time connecting with the fifth chakra through asana breath, and intention, please have a comfortable cross-legged seat. Keeping your eyes closed, begin to chant the bija mantra for visuddha chakra which is HAM. You may either chant it out loud or silently to yourself. Think of this mantra as a code. As you chant, the code begins to unpack itself and reveal to you the sacred intelligence of the fifth chakra energy center. As you chant this word HAM, try to sense the vibration of the sound all around the throat and neck. Feel free to experiment with pace and volume and chant in a way that resonates with you. Spend at least 2 minutes with your chant, more if you like.

Corpse Pose
Savasana
When you finish chanting, lie back in Savasana and consciously soften around the throat and neck. Release all thoughts and relax into the earth as you drift into a quiet and restful repose.   Above is from  YogaJournal.com,”Throat Chakra Tune-Up Practice byStephanie Snyder “who also has a soundtrack available.

SEE YALL LATER _Hopefully you will have day mindful of the energy opening your throat to speak your truth with loving compassion.

Vibrant Green Heart Chakra

Vibrant Green Heart Chakra is where Mind, Body and Spirit Unite!

Heart Chakra Spin heart zentangle          Anahata Heart Chakra                                 Zentangle from Pinterest         on Pinterest by Examiner.com

Your  vibrating Heart Chakra is all about love, air, social identity….

It’s also about balance, equilibrium, and well-being.

If  we ask what is well-being and  how we want to live — what we seek from life, what makes life meaningful for us, most of us will agree that the goal of all our goals is happiness.

Most definitions of happiness,  Eric Fromm, (Great humanistic philosopher of the 20th century, as explored by Maria Popova in “Brain Pickings Weekly”  March 27th ), observes,” converge at some version of having our needs met and our wishes fulfilled — but this raises the question of what it is we actually want…. It’s essentially a question about human nature — or, rather, about the interplay of nature and nurture mediated by norms. Adding to the vocabulary of gardening as a metaphor for understanding happiness and making sense of mastery, Fromm illustrates his point:

This is indeed well understood by any gardener. The aim of the life of a rosebush is to be all that is inherent as potentiality in the rosebush: that its leaves are well developed and that its flower is the most perfect rose that can grow out of this seed. The gardener knows, then, in order to reach this aim he must follow certain norms that have been empirically found. The rosebush needs a specific kind of soil, of moisture, of temperature, of sun and shade. It is up to the gardener to provide these things if he wants to have beautiful roses. But even without his help the rosebush tries to provide itself with the optimum of needs. It can do nothing about moisture and soil, but it can do something about sun and temperature by growing “crooked,” in the direction of the sun, provided there is such an opportunity. Why would not the same hold true for the human species?

Even if we had no theoretical knowledge about the reasons for the norms that are conducive to man’s optimal growth and functioning, experience tells us just as much as it tells the gardener. Therein lies the reason that all great teachers of man have arrived at essentially the same norms for living, the essence of these norms being that the overcoming of greed, illusions, and hate, and the attainment of love and compassion, are the conditions for attaining optimal being. Drawing conclusions from empirical evidence, even if we cannot explain the evidence theoretically, is a perfectly sound and by no means “unscientific” method, although the scientists’ ideal will remain, to discover the laws behind the empirical evidence.

He distills the basic principle of life’s ultimate aim:

The goal of living [is] to grow optimally according to the conditions of human existence and thus to become fully what one potentially is; to let reason or experience guide us to the understanding of what norms are conducive to well-being, given the nature of man that reason enables us to understand.
But one of the essential ingredients of well-being, Fromm notes, has been gruesomely warped by capitalist industrial society — the idea of freedom and its attainment by the individual:

Liberation has been exclusively applied to liberation from outside forces; by the middle class from feudalism, by the working class from capitalism, by the peoples in Africa and Asia from imperialism.

Such external liberation, Fromm argues, is essentially political liberation — an inherently limiting pseudo-liberation, which can obscure the emergence of various forms of imprisonment and entrapment within the political system. He writes:

This is the case in Western democracy, where political liberation hides the fact of dependency in many disguises… Man can be a slave even without being put in chains… The outer chains have simply been put inside of man. The desires and thoughts that the suggestion apparatus of society fills him with, chain him more thoroughly than outer chains. This is so because man can at least be aware of outer chains but be unaware of inner chains, carrying them with the illusion that he is free. He can try to overthrow the outer chains, but how can he rid himself of chains of whose existence he is unaware?

Any attempt to overcome the possibly fatal crisis of the industrialized part of the world, and perhaps of the human race, must begin with the understanding of the nature of both outer and inner chains; it must be based on the liberation of man in the classic, humanist sense as well as in the modern, political and social sense… The only realistic aim is total liberation, a goal that may well be called radical (or revolutionary) humanism.

The two most pernicious chains keeping us from liberation, Fromm observes, are our culture’s property-driven materialism and our individual intrinsic tendencies toward narcissism…..”

Those internal ‘chains’ clog up the free flow of Universal energy -chi-Prana that allow our very essence to expand and give off the fragrance of our one-of-a-kindness.

But a person of meditation   realizes that it does not matter whether they are needed or not – they are a joy unto themselves. They are bliss, they do not depend on anybody  or anyTHING to make themselves blissful. That is the only freedom possible in the world. Otherwise we are a slave in chains.

                                                 pink rose petals

“I would like people to understand it absolutely that unless you become blissful on your own accord, unless your rose opens within your own being, you are just a commodity, just a thing, an object. Meditation reveals your subjectivity. Subjectivity is your consciousness, and your consciousness and its experience makes your life significant, meaningful, eternal, immortal, without any beginning and without any end. A celebration, moment-to-moment a dance.

And unless you have caste aside the chains of slavery and transformed your life into a moment-to-moment dance you have missed the opportunity that existence gives you.”

and backbends.

Heart Chakra backbend

Being an even-numbered, feminine chakra, the heart center naturally yearns to release and let go. Doing backbends develops the trust and surrender we need to open the heart fully. When we feel fearful, there is no room for love, and our bodies show contraction. When we choose love, the fear melts away, and our practice takes on a joyful quality. In many backbending poses, the heart is positioned higher than the head. It’s wonderfully refreshing to let the mind drop away from the top position and instead lead with the heart.

Some signs that the heart chakra is overpowering your life can include co-dependency, possessiveness, jealousy, heart disease, and high blood pressure. For these symptoms, forward bends are the best antidote, because they are grounding and foster introspection. While people with deficient heart chakras need to open to receive love more fully, those with excessive heart chakras find healing by slowing down to discover inside themselves the nourishment they have been seeking from others.

Heart Chakra forward bend heart Chakra forward bend sittingThe most powerful way to open, energize, and balance not just the heart chakra but all of our chakras is to love ourselves and others. Love is the greatest healer.

SEE YA LATER:

“If I had my life to live over, I would start barefoot earlier in the spring and stay that way later in the fall.  I would go to more dances. I would ride more merry-go-rounds. I would pick more daisies. “~Nadine Stair

We choose how to live each day, and we choose the type of person we want to be.  Unfortunately, we often choose the type of person that we think others want to see rather than the person we truly are, and that prevents us from going barefoot early in the spring or spending time picking daisies when we could be “being productive.”

How about slinging off the chains of expectations and finding something to do today that doesn’t take much time at all, or commercial ‘possessions’, but is truly enjoyable?  Why not do it? And then keep on doing it each day!!  Experience FREEDOM to just be sparkling YOU doing what you like to do.

Solar Plexus

Manipura, the Solar Plexus Chakra, is also known as the power chakra. It is symbolized by a lotus with ten petals and it relates to the color yellow.

Solar Plexus

The Manipura rules personal power, will, and autonomy. It is the center where personality & identity is formed and emotions, intuition, & psychic energies are integrated into the self.

The Manipura is the center of your self-esteem, your willpower, self-discipline, as well as warmth in your personality.

It is all about who you are.

A person with an open and balanced Manipura values herself and her work, is confident in her ability to do something well, loves and accepts herself, is willing to express herself in a powerful way, knows that she has the freedom to choose to be herself and direct her own life.

When it is blocked, you lack courage, have low self-esteem, and feel stagnant with little or no vitality.

Balancing the Manipura allows us to feel cheerful, vital, strong & alive.

OUTSTANDING ORANGE Sacral Chakra

Visualize your OUTSTANDING swirling bright orange sacral chakra two inches below your belly button. Breathe in orange to recharge this second chakra. Release negative emotions with each exhale as your orange energy gets brighter and brighter.

As you know, each of us has an energetic field that encases our body and internal organs. This energy, called bioenergy or chi, is responsible for life as it fulfills our need for subtle energy. The vortexes existing in this energetic field are called chakras. The chakras act as points of connection between our physical and non-physical (astral, extraphysical) bodies, enabling energies to flow from one of these vehicles of manifestation to the other. They are the means by which we absorb energy from and externalize energy to the environment, and exchange energy with others; therefore, they form the core system through which we sustain our energy levels, vitality and health.

When our OUTSTANDING swirling orange Sacral Chakra is open and balanced, we have an ability to take risks, we are creative, we are committed, are passionate, sexual and outgoing.  How’s that for awesomeness?!?

Springy Saturday CURIOUS Crown Chakra

The crown chakra is a door of universal energy and conscience through which we can reach a higher state of awareness.  Our violet crown (Sahasrara in Sanskrit) leads us to the true nature of life which is abundant in JOY,  PURPOSE and CURIOSITY.

There is JOY  in CURIOSITY , CREATING and in the CREATION.  There is WONDER  in stepping outside our comfort zones.  There is FREEDOM and PURPOSE in artistic expression in whatever form.

SPRING is one of the most wondrous of nature’s shocks.  Virginia Woolf wrote in her autobiography that “SHOCK receiving capacity is what is necessary for being an artist”.  Expression and creating in any medium, from rearranging your environment, planting a garden,  to writing a symphony, a novel or arranging forms  in paints, metal or words what is in your heart is JOY. Connect with the Universe and CREATE your own JOY with each and every breath.  Wear lavender or violet today,  and know that you are amazing, one with the universe and channeling the SOURCE.

Ingenious Indigo Third Eye Chakra

Ingenious, as in cleverly resourceful, describes our indigo  vortex of swirling POTENTIAL energy. Energy to see beyond the evident, to visualize the bigger picture if we have the intention of keeping the energy flowing and practice using the potential inherent within.

image

From Pinterest

Our third-eye, also known as the Brow Chakra, is a main point for external life energy (prana, chi) to enter and be distributed to the other chakras. It is also a key to ongoing spiritual development. Thus, keeping it as clear and balanced as possible is your ingenuity at work.

As humans we are energy transformers; we are alive and developing in proportion to how much of this universal energy we accept and how freely it flows through us. The better we transmit this energy or allow it to flow through us, the more alive and contented and effective we become.

Access to the universal energies and good physical and mental health is through meditation and intention.

Intentions such as:

“My mind is clear and agile.”
“I envision and create beauty and goodness.”
“My imagination is vivid and powerful.”
“I am open to the wisdom within me.”
“I am open to greater and greater spiritual awareness.”

Because Clary Sage oil is an aide in eliminating confusion and illusion, it’s often used on the brow and during meditation, contemplation, or creative work. It can help us see possibilities that we struggle to find when we’re lost in our own heads or thoughts and need to tap into something deeper, and, given intention, can bring light to dark places we’re struggling to move through. It helps us to open ourselves to intuition and inner wisdom to be guided by an understanding that is both deeper within and further beyond us.

YOGA:build awareness in your ajna chakra to begin to see everything in your life more clearly.
start by doing an awakening exercise for the ajna chakra. Take a comfortable seat. Softly close your eyes. Turn your gaze gently to your third eye, or the space between your eyebrows. Bring your hands to a prayer position and begin rubbing them together vigorously.

Once you have created a good amount of heat between your palms, cup them over your eyes. Let the eyes absorb the heat. Feel the heat soften any tension in or around the eyes. Repeat this process 3 times pausing to feel between each round.

Set Your Ajna Intention
Now set your intention for this practice. To grease the wheels, here are some themes that relate to the sixth chakra: Unlocking intuition; improving correct perception; seeing that you are connected to everyone and everything; inviting third eye wisdom to light your way. Feel free to use any of these or choose your own. As long as your intention feels true for you it has value.

Dolphin Plank
Come onto your hands and knees. Bring your elbows to the floor directly under your shoulders and bring your hands to Prayer (Anjali Mudra). Step the feet back as you straighten your legs behind you. The only points of contact with the floor are the balls of the feet and the forearms. Make your legs super strong, engage your belly and pull your front ribs in and up to widen the low back. This is a challenging pose, stick with it! Imagine the prayer hands and the third eye are connected by an invisible stream. That stream is your intention. Stay laser-focused on it for 5–10 breaths. Let your resolve to attach to something worthy of your attention make you strong. When you release the pose, rest on your belly.

Eagle Pose
Garudasana
From standing bend your knees. Lift your right knee and stack it on top of your left. Then wrap your right foot behind your left shin if possible. Bring your arms to shoulder height and stack your left elbow on top of your right, wrapping the right hand into the left. Keep elbows bent at 90 degrees. Balance here bringing your hips down low. Encourage your knees to move toward the midline instead of skewing to one side. The word “garuda” means to devour. Let this pose devour ego, doubt, and fear, clearing the way for loving intention. Spend 5 breaths on this side and then switch.

Warrior III Pose
Virabhadrasana III
From standing with arms by your side, engage your legs and begin to tip the pelvis forward. Send your left leg straight back and up until it is parallel to the floor. Extend the spine and head forward also keeping the upper body parallel to the floor. There should be plum line from the head to the left toes. Reach your arms straight back and firm the triceps. Lift your low belly to widen the low back and stand here strong and balanced. Connect with the third eye center and realize that the more we connect to everyone and everything, the easier it is for us to remain balanced even in the least stable conditions. Stay here for 5 breaths, soft but strong.

Dolphin Pose
This pose is similar to Downward-Facing Dog except its done on the forearms. Begin on your hands and knees. Place your elbows directly under your shoulders and bring your hands to anjali mudra as you did in Dolphin Plank. Tuck your toes and lift your hips up and back as you straighten your legs. Feet should be about hip-width apart. Firm your shoulder blades into the ribs and lift the shoulders away from the ears to free your neck. Walk your feet in a little closer to your arms, bring the thumbs of your prayer mudra to the third eye. Spend 3 breaths here, bringing all of your attention to the third eye center.

Child’s Pose
Balasana
Time to rest! From hands and knees, ease the sitbones back onto the heels into Child’s Pose. Gently rest your forehead on the earth, reach your arms forward and take 5 slow breaths. Let the gentle pressure on the third eye sink you deeper into a meditative and insightful repose. Allow your whole body to release deeply.
