Red Root Chakra

image
The frequency and quality of the energy flowing from each of our chakras is different. Each chakra has  its own type of spiritual energy, its own tuning. Spiritual energy said to be of immeasurable power, called by the Indians “Prana” and by the Chinese “Chi”, can flow through the chakras, but only if they are opened or activated. Technically speaking the chakras are the fields through which the energies flow, not the spiritual energies themselves. They are like doors. Certain tools and techniques unlock them.

Inner silence is the key to tuning the energies and integrating the conscious states. It is the sacred dimension or pure Awareness which unifies the otherwise unconnected states of consciousness. It is also the black hole source of the chakras. Thus all progress in spiritual disciplines depends upon reaching and retaining this inner silence.
Sunday is the day of the week that resonants strongly with Muladhara, the energy which is the origin of our sensing capacity or Root Chakra. A spinning red energy gateway grounding us.

AROMA: Root Chakra corresponds to our sense of smell so energize with it with smells of the earth: Balsam fir, Angelica or Cedar to name a few.

CRYSTALS: Red Jasper or Carnelian is an excellent stone to wear or meditate with for this chakra. When used in meditation, Carnelian assists in the understanding of how to bring a concept into being, and how to manifest it into action

red-carnelian

MEDITATION: Visualize a red jewel in the center of the earth rise up and the swirling red ball of energy it becomes in contact with the base of your spine.

YOGA:
Begin conscious grounding to Mother Earth’s energies with tree pose:

balance yoga pose
You can use your ‘seeing red’ visualization as you firmly plant your entire left foot onto your mat and bring your right foot up into tree pose. Keep your hip points squarely ahead and your toes tucked in as you place your foot anywhere on your leg besides your knee. Be creative and make your tree pose your own. Place your right leg into half lotus or engage your core and reach your arms overhead, keeping the base of your neck soft and your elbows straight as you rotate the pinky side of your hands in to engage your triceps. Most importantly, feel supported and connected to the earth as you hold your tree pose for 5 to 8 breaths before switching sides——

This chakra is where security, confidence and self-esteem originate.
Root Lock or Yoni Bandha :

yoni-bandha-posethis yoga move is actually stimulating the very same process that creates orgasm,”

The Yoni canal connects to the clitoris and the entire womb. Women draw up at the base of the pelvic floor around the vagina and extending up to the mouth of the cervix. Draw in and up on the inhalation. Let go on the exhalation. Draw in strongly but not so much that you feel tension. It’s much more than a Kegel, which some feel is devoid of poetry and Eros. “It’s like this light that rises and illuminates the whole spine”.
Try squatting with your heels in and toes out, lean your torso in between your thighs with your hands together. As you inhale, engage Mula Bandha and feel the current rise from the earth and enter the pelvic floor. When you can’t inhale any longer, relax the squeeze on your exhale, without collapsing it entirely. You’re pulling energy up to tap into a subtle pulse, like the ocean tide.

SEE Y’ALL:   Connect with the earth in every way you can conceive of this day.

Red Chakra–Earth Connection

We should be able to be our true selves.
This means we should be able
to be the river,
the forest.
We must do this to understand,
and to have hope for the future~Thich Nhat hanh

Sunday corresponds to our ROOT CHAKRA—Our Base, grounding energy field vibrating with the potential for CONNECTION to EARTH. Awareness and INTENTION are the connecting forces.

SOUNDS: Search for a ‘Meditation Music for Root Chakra’ if you like to connect your red energy field with the earth through meditating with the vibrations of the chakra. Red Jasper from Pinterest

Red Jasper is a very calming stone and stimulates the Root Chakra —-vibrating with potential grounding Earth energy. Focus your intention near the apex of your red jasper and be sure you have stated a purpose for the highest good, and are clear about your deepest desires to CONNECT with Earth’s abundant energies.

FRAGRANCE: White or Balsam Fir blended with cedarwood and or sandalwood.                                   One very good way to bring balance to a clogged or congested chakra is to work directly on the chakra by applying a suitable essential oil blend. Even if you are feeling grounded, it is good to energize the energy center.
Blend (I use a 5 or 10ml container that fits my diffuser or a roll-on container for carrying with me) 1 oz. Pure Carrier Oil–Jojoba is a good choice as it is nutritive for the skin or Fractionated Coconut Oil, 10-15 drops cedarwood, sandalwood, White or Balsam Fir Essential Oil. Label the Blend as “Root Blend”
The blend does not have to be highly aromatic to be effective. Remember to never apply essential oils to the skin without first diluting them.

In a quiet, peaceful setting, add 2-3 drops of your Root Blend to your fingertips and then lightly apply the oil in a clockwise direction to your feet and/or to your lower back, near your tailbone, but not directly on it.
Once you have applied the blend, focus upon positive thoughts and intentions aimed towards balancing the chakra and sensing your CONNECTION to the VIBES of the EARTH. Feel the FLOW!
Ideal times to use the blend are during times of meditation or while practicing yoga, listening to peaceful music or relaxing.

MEDITATION: Begin your meditation with ten minutes of deep fast breathing focusing only on your breath-the in then the out. Feel the breath come from the center of the EARTH. Let all thoughts go–only focusing on your swirling red BASE chakra CONNECTED with the Earth’s energy for as long as you desire.

YOGA: TREE POSE: In a standing position shift your weight slightly onto the left foot, keeping the inner foot firm to the floor, and bend your right knee. Reach down with your right hand and clasp your right ankle.
Draw your right foot up and place the sole against the inner left thigh; if possible, press the right heel into the inner left groin, toes pointing toward the floor. The center of your pelvis should be directly over the left foot.
Rest your hands on the top rim of your pelvis. Make sure the pelvis is in a neutral position, with the top rim parallel to the floor.
Lengthen your tailbone toward the floor. Firmly press the right foot sole against the inner thigh and resist with the outer left leg. Press your hands together . Gaze softly at a fixed point in front of you on the floor about 4 or 5 feet away
Stay for 30 seconds to 1 minute.

balance yoga pose

Step back on both feet with an exhalation and repeat for the same length of time with the legs reversed. It helps to imagine that your body is centered on an invisible plumb line dropping from the crown of your head, through the middle of your torso and pelvis, and straight into the ground beneath you. You want to remain centered around that plumb line even though you’re on only one leg. To do this, strengthen the trunk of the tree—your core—and firm your standing leg by hugging the muscles of your inner thigh in toward your midline. Your standing leg is like the roots of your tree, and your stable pelvis CONNECTS energy from your roots up into the spine and torso, creating a strong trunk. Your arms reach up and out like branches expanding into the sky.

SEE YALL LATER: Take as many walks as possible today being aware of your CONNECTION to Earth’s Energy with each step. It is so rewarding to spend the day befriending, protecting, CONNECTING and nurturing you OWN SPIRIT! Have at it!!!!!!!

RED SUNDAY–starting with Ergonomically Earthly Energy

Sunday correlates with our ROOT CHAKRA, our energy Base, through which the vibrations travel up along the inside of the spine charging the energy centers where the life force lines cross.

image

Where the  flow of life  lines cross, the Nadis,  is where the vortices of energy spin–wheels of potential energy and light, aka Chakras.  Energy vibrates at various frequencies  and those frequencies emit different colors. Red is the  slowest of the visible frequencies (Frequency/Tone: 194.18 Hz.(Chakra Platonic) – 396 Hz.(Sofeggio) – 256 Hz (Carrier Wave).

The 7 Chakras are both interdependent and interconnected with each other. They help improve and develop the entire person – both his/her irrational and rational selves, emotional and intuitive sides, his/her aesthetic and pragmatic tendencies, as well as material and spiritual characteristics.

The Root Chakra is most closely associated with our physical body and physical energies. The Hindu depiction of this chakra is the four-petalled lotus. Four is the number related to the four elements, the four directions, and the square. Esoterically, four represents the manifested world and incarnation into this space/time. Four also can represent a strong foundation, solidity, and stability, as in four walls, four legs, etc. Accordingly, the Earth Element is associated with the Root Chakra, as well as the Mineral Kingdom, our sense of smell, and the adrenal glands.

Vector Chakra Symbol Mandalas for Meditation to Facilitate Growth and Healing–Pinterest

The Root Chakra is the Center of Grounding – our connection to Earth energies. It rules our survival consciousness and represents our deepest unconscious and most primitive/animal self.

It also governs our physical energy and vitality, survival, basic instincts, our feelings of security and safety, familial beliefs, heredity, jobs, money, and our home.  Ergonomically, connecting with the earth and charging your root vortex of energy is standard for maximizing productivity by reducing operator fatigue and discomfort. Also called biotechnology, human engineering, human factors engineering.  If you get my drift……..[Greek ergon, work; see werg- in Indo-European roots + (eco)nomics.]

When the Root Chakra energy is in balance, you are centered, grounded, healthy and vibrant, with unlimited physical energy. You love your body and love to use it and take care of it. You feel secure in your life and display not only good common sense, but you have the ability to easily manifest abundance. If your Root Chakra is out of balance with excessive energy, you may be domineering, greedy, sadistic, and judgmental with strong biased opinions. If this chakra is blocked, you may lack confidence, have low energy, be spacey, be unable to manifest and achieve goals, feel unworthy, unloved, fearful, and insecure. A deficit of energy through the Root Chakra may also manifest as addictions to food, drugs, or material possessions, low immunity, and pain in the lower back, legs, and feet. (This would not be the cause of ALL back pain but just one manifestation of low root chakra manifestation)

SOUNDS:  Tambura-Root Chakra Meditation Music  or one of your own choosing.

FRAGRANCE: Black Pepper Essential Oil diluted 50:50 with carrier oil —Soothing and supportive of muscles after exercise or work out.  The spicy, warm aroma of this oil, in use since the Egyptian mummification era, is stimulating and empowering.  Black pepper is good for those of us who worry constantly. It empowers us to release those negative energies and embrace our own power.  It also vibrates with  energy  to overcome the things that are creating the problems to begin with!  It may also  helps us “digest” unhealthy feelings towards people especially ourselves! This is helpful for those who are self critical and angry or upset with themselves.   Relevant for today is the theory that it promotes balance of the base chakra.

Apply several drops (2-4) on base chakra/vitaflex points or on any sore muscles/Diffuse (especially comfy on a day you want to feel warm and cozy)

CRYSTALS: Red Jasper–a very calming stone that slowly softly stimulates the Root Chakra.   A gentle stone, Red Jasper works slowly but surely and  aids in resolving difficult situations and can be used to ground and stabilize your AURA….

MEDITATION:

The Root Chakra concerns your core needs for survival, security, and livelihood. Without a balanced Root Chakra, it is impossible to achieve balance with the other Chakras.  Feel the VIBES and let that RED ENERGY center calmly twirl!

Visualize the energy as a red jewel in the center of the EARTH vibrating upward into your feet , up your legs and into the base of your body–connect with the VIBES,  power up your ROOT energy field and feel the secure VIBES of Mother Earth deep within,  deep and low, sweet and low.                                                                                              ———–                                                                                                                                           Another opening exercise for the Root Chakra                                                                             is to Let the tips of your thumb and index finger touch.
while concentrating on the Root chakra at the spot                                                                   in between the genitals and the anus.
Chant the sound LAM.                                                                                                                              ———–                                                                                                                                Muladhara Mudra–The Root Chakra is the foundation for the other chakras, with emphasis on survival and grounding.
Mantra: LAM
Element: Earth
Bring your palms together in a prayer at your heart, then interlace the pinky and ring fingers so they fold inside of the palms. Extend the middle fingers so the tips touch and then interlace the thumbs and index fingers so they form rings around each other, with the fingertips touching.

Optional: Flip this mudra upside down and lower your arms slightly, so the middle fingers are pointed downward at your pelvic region

YOGA:  Tree Pose

image  So ERGONOMICALLY AWESOME– designed to minimize physical effort and discomfort, and hence maximize efficiency of your energy systems and physical abilities and who knows what all else!

————————–

SEE YA LATER THOUGHTS:     Spend as much time as you can today connecting with the Earth’s energy. In addition to the chakra clearing and balancing meditation, there are several ways that you can focus your energy and intention on balancing and clearing the Root Chakra. Connect with Earth Energy: walk outside barefoot, spend time in nature, hug a tree, work in the soil, garden or hug a plant in the grocery store.

Also, enjoy your physical body – engage in physical activity and be present now – experience your body using your physical senses. Eat root vegetables. Immerse your sense of smell in the scents of Balsam fir, patchouli, cedarwood, sandalwood, musk. Surround yourself with gems that vibrate at the same level as the Root Chakra – ruby, garnet, bloodstone, red jasper, black tourmaline, obsidian, and hematite (my personal favorite for grounding!). Know that you are more powerful than you can even begin to imagine, you are Spirit in Matter, and like the Tree, when you are firmly grounded in the Earth, you are free to reach far into the sky.

a WONDERFUL day connected mentally and physically with the earth’s VIBES……….

will be safe
when we feel safe
in ourselves.——–Thich Nhat Hanh

SPRING-Earth’s ENERGY radiating red

Let us Welcome SPRING, Ostara, the Return of Light and our Red Root Chakra which connects with Mother Earth spinning with a frequency of : 194.18 Hz.(Chakra Platonic) – 396 Hz.(Sofeggio) – 256 Hz (Carrier Wave) ;Musical Note: “C” ; Musical Scale/solfeggio Tone: “do” (doh)

Red Petal

Our roots to the Earth are vital to our well being and our connection to her seasons go deep. “The Vernal Equinox, today, March 20th, is one of only two such magical times of the year where night and day are precisely balanced; the wheel of the year is sliced in half. Only on the equinox does the equator, the point of solar termination on Earth, line up with the Sun, creating this vortex of energy, this point of balance.

When you celebrate the Equinox, you connect to all of our ancestors who have participated in ritual and ceremony on this occasion for millennia:  The native pre-Christian Germanic tribes of northern Europe worshipped a goddess of spring called Ostara. The Saxon tribes of old Britain called her Oestre. Her feast day was held on the full moon following the Vernal Equinox, much like the modern Easter. In Western tradition we see ‘Easter eggs,’ which date back to ancient times, as a symbol of fertility and rebirth. In Persia, eggs were painted and colored for 1,500 years as part of the spring celebration of No Ruz, a tradition of the Zoroastrian New Year on the Vernal Equinox.

All around the world, ancient and indigenous cultures have rituals, feasts, and celebrations of the Vernal Equinox. Ancient Roman followers of the goddess Cybele believed she had a consort who died and was resurrected on this day. The ancient Mayans have celebrated this event for ten centuries; as the sun sets on the day of the equinox, the western face of the Mayan pyramid El Castillo is fully bathed in sunlight, and is designed to work with the lengthening shadows, giving the appearance of a diamondback snake descending down the wall. ” (Athena)

This is a GREAT day to celebrate bringing the energy of light, hope, fertility, growth, and new beginnings.

SOUNDS:  Search for ‘Meditation Music for Root Chakra’ or Music for Spring Equinox or listen to these I found: Spring Equinox in “Circle of Seasons”;  Easter/Ostara/Spring Equinox by Mina La Voisin-a music video“The Righto feel Secure and Connect wit Earth”

CRYSTALS:   Set out all your red colored crystals

AROMAS :  immerse your sense of smell in a grounding ‘Spring Woodland Blend” of Essential Oils: 50 drops Balsam fir, 20 drops Vetiver, 10 drops Wintergreen and 10 drops Bergamot into a 5ml bottle.  Diffuse with your intentions to feel safe and in harmony with the Earth.

To apply behind ears, at base of spine, on feet bottoms, over heart, on wrists, base of neck, or temples,  mix the above with 1 oz of jojoba oil

If you are more into ‘Equinox Flower Garden’ fragrances than the woodland scene, try blending 30 drops lavender, 20 drops Jasmine, 20 drops Ylang Ylang, 20 drops hyssop, 6 drop Elemi, and 6 drops of Geranium to diffuse.  To apply to skin, mix with 1 oz jojoba oil.  I put my blends in a roll-on bottle and keep it handy all day.  I also code the top of the bottle with a sticker matching the color of the chakra it goes with so I don’t have to read them all  in the mornings.

Essential Oil blends sure beat the petrochemical commercial perfumes and air fresheners as over 60% of what comes in connect with our  skin, the largest organ on our body, gets absorbed into our blood stream! And unlike our insides where our kidneys and liver  act as  filters, our skin is all on its own with no one to protect it except diligently caring SELVES. 95% of the chemicals in most commercial fragrances are synthetic compounds derived from petroleum and natural gas, known as petrochemicals. On average, 80% of fragrance formulations are comprised of these chemicals and in some cases, 100% of a formula can be synthetic.  Skin absorbs these man-made chemicals in a few ways: by direct application, by contact with fragranced items, and by exposure to air containing fragrances and these can accumulate in our body organs.

SO why not use naturally occurring, invigorating Essential Oils of Nature?!

LIGHTS:  Soy (no petrochemical paraffin waxes) candles in Lavender, Spring green and yellow.

Begin by taking a moment to focus on the air around you. Inhale deeply, and see if you can smell the change in the seasons. Depending on where you live, the air may have an earthy aroma, or a rainy one, or even smell like green grass.

Sense the shift in energy as the Wheel of the Year has turned. Light the green candle, to symbolize the blossoming earth. As you light it, say:

The Wheel of the Year turns once more,
and the vernal equinox arrives.
Light and dark are equal,
and the soil begins to change.
The earth awakes from its slumber,
and new life springs forth once more.

Next, light the yellow candle, representing the sun. As you do so, say:

The sun radiates ever closer to us,
greeting the earth with its welcoming rays.
Light and dark are equal,
and the sky fills with light and warmth.
The sun warms the land beneath our feet,
and gives life to all in its path.

Finally, light the purple candle. This one represents the Divine in our lives — whether you call it a god or a goddess, whether you identify it by name or simply as a universal life force, this is the candle which stands for all the things we do not know, all those things we cannot understand, but that are the sacred in our daily lives. As you light this candle, focus on the Divine around and within you. Say:

Spring has come! For this, we are thankful!
The Divine is present all around,
in the cool fall of a rain storm,
in the tiny buds of a flower,
in the down of a newborn chick,
in the fertile fields waiting to be planted,
in the sky above us,
and in the earth below us.
We thank the universe* for all it has to offer us,
and are so blessed to be alive on this day.
Welcome, life! Welcome, light! Welcome, spring!

Take a moment and meditate on the three flames before you and what they symbolize. Consider your own place within these three things — the earth, the sun, and the Divine. How do you fit into the grand scheme of things? How do you find balance between light and dark in your own life?

When you are done opening your petals on this beautiful spring morning chant this mantra to become surrounded by a field of white light of protection.

I celebrate the Primal Wisdom.
I celebrate the Wisdom through the Ages.
I celebrate  True Wisdom.
I celebrate the great, unseen Wisdom.

I celebrate Spring and new beginnings

SEE YA LATER: Since this first chakra is all about grounding,if possible take a barefoot walk in the grass or on a beach to enhance your connection to Mother Earth celebrating SPRING with every step.

Take your  gems, crystals, and stones outside to place them in a sunny place to charge in the light of the equinox. This is especially powerful at noon, when the sun is at its highest point in the sky, as well as the specific hour of equinox which varies by geographic location. In your time outside, take a moment to center yourself, grounding into the Earth, breathing in the renewing and balancing energy that abounds on this day. Feel the light, smell the scents that linger on the breeze. Maybe there is still a lingering winter chill; acknowledge this and thank it as it passes. Turn to the sun and soak up the renewing energy of its rays. REJOICE in new your new life and refreshed energies right this MOMENT!

Chakras, meditations, Red Root Chakra, yoga

Basically Red

The body has 7 main chakras, each with its own sound frequency from the key of C to B. The goal is to have all chakras open from the Crown to the Root, continually receiving the energies from the universe and earth.
The FIRST chakra is the ROOT, located in the base of the body at the perineum associated with grounding to Mother Earth. Emotional issues housed in the first chakra are security, financial, manifesting, trust and fear.  The ROOT chakra vibrates to the concert key of C and is associated with the color RED. It is found in the adrenal glands and is associated with survival instincts.

red root chakra symbol

Symbol for  this Root Chakra, aka Muladhara,  has four petals which match the tendencies for greatest joy, natural pleasure, delight in passion, and blissfulness in concentration.

FRAGRANCE:   Essential oils have amazing subtle (energetic or vibrational) qualities as well as biochemical attributes that are  relevant to activating our energy centers because energetic imbalances tend to eventually manifest in the physical body. Because of this, essential oils and aromatherapy can be said to be inherently multi-dimensional and integrated. There is a wonderful bridge between subtle  (energetic) and biochemical modalities that promote healing, balance and wellness.

Within the body, the root chakra is closely affiliated with structure, bones, nervous system, adrenals and the sense of smell. The nose is this chakra’s sense organ so the essential oils closely associated with the root chakra tend to be made of heavier molecules, and are characterized as base notes which are deeper, slowly unfolding, long lasting scents. Quite often these come from trees such as the Idaho Balsam Fir with its woodsy and refreshing scent. Diffuse  this EO for a grounding and calming aroma.

Some of the Essential Oil Companies make blends for Grounding: ‘Peace and Quiet’ Blend by RMO (rockymountainoils.com),  ‘Grounding’ blend by YL(youngliving.com) and ‘Gentle Baby’ by doTerra.   These blends have  spruce, white fir, ylang ylang, pine, cedarwood, angelica, and juniper to diffuse, inhale; apply behind ears, over heart, on wrists, base of neck, temples, or base of spine.

SOUND:  Google some ‘meditation music for the root chakra’

CRYSTALS: Activate your red jasper, Carnelian, smoky Quartz or other red crystals with your intention to walk mindfully on this earth and to know you are safe this moment. Let go of the past and know you are safely  grounded NOW.

image                                                                                                  Carnelian Crystal from Pinterest

Carnelian, in shades of red, may be a powerful ally in healing Base Chakra blockages and traumas, aiding one in recovering vital information about oneself and one’s purpose on Earth. The Base Chakra, located at the base of the spine, controls the energy for kinesthetic feeling and movement and is the foundation of physical and spiritual energy for the body. When physically out of balance the symptoms will manifest themselves as lethargy, low levels of activity, low enthusiasm, and a need for constant stimulation. When the Base Chakra is in balance, the physical body regains its strength and stamina, and spiritual energy is rekindled in the form of security and sense of one’s own power.

YOGA:

Tree Pose:  Yoga is not just a physical exercise, it is spiritual as well…the essence of Tree Pose is to find balance. However, balance is not found in this pose in a rigid manner, such as one might associate with a balanced ballet position. In Tree Pose, your body may sway, like a tree does in the wind, but your foot stays rooted into the ground. This freedom for your body to move and find its balance while you envision being rooted in the ground develops your spiritual acceptance of your body’s position in space.

Tree Pose–feel grounded; mindful only of this moment and your breath.    Begin with breath awareness in a seated or relaxation pose. After settling into quiet mindful breathing,  direct your attention inward to your own sense of ‘center.’  Focus on the sense of center and the sensation of breathing at the same time. Imagine a yourself a  strong, rooted oak tree:     Calm/ Grounded.

This is the strength to stay mentally, emotionally and physically steady even in the middle of difficult times. In yoga, this strength is rooted in mindfulness, the breath and physical stability.

From a standing position, holding on to a chair  for balance, lift your right foot and place it on the inside of your left thigh . Point your foot down, and relax the leg to help hold your foot in position. Bare feet will also help.

Steady yourself by gazing at one spot on the wall or floor, without bending your neck. Breathe in through your nose as you raise your arms slowly over your head, straighten your arms, and place your palms together . Hold your breath in for a count of three. Breathe out through your nose as you slowly lower your arms and leg.

Rest. Repeat on the opposite side.

To keep from falling in Tree pose, you need to explore and understand your hip-opening capacity. If your hips aren’t naturally open and you force the lifted knee to point straight out , your entire pelvis will twist in that direction, pulling you out of your alignment. When this happens, there’s also a tendency to arch the lower back too much, tilting your pelvis out of its most stable alignment.

Your standing leg is like the roots of your tree, and your stable pelvis carries energy from your roots up into the spine and torso, creating a strong trunk. Your arms reach up and out like branches expanding into the sky.

Tree Pose is a chance to experience the magic of yoga practice: If you are willing, trying to stand on one leg becomes an inquiry into your own truth. Honoring your truth might mean lowering the foot to a place below the knee or even to the floor, bringing the lifted knee slightly forward in space to align the hips, or gently engaging the abdomen to remove the arch from the lower back. Through honest inquiry, you can discover your true alignment and find your balance, no matter where your knee ends up pointing!

Meditation:

Listen
Listen
Listen. To your soul
As the miraculous Earth energy enters
Listen to the stillness
Listen to the silence
Visualize the redness at the center of the Earth
Visualize a strong beam of red light energy                                                                         streaming upward into  your feet                                                                                                        Upward to the base of your spine
Connecting you with the center of the earth
Breathe, follow your breath feeling
As ONE with Mother Earth.
Feeling safe
Secure
Peaceful,
Quiet
Grounded

Now, let the tips of your thumb and index finger touch.    Concentrate on the Root chakra at the spot in between the genitals and the anus.   Chant the sound ‘LAM’

SEE YA LATER:

“It is one of the most prevalent problems for the modern man; the whole of humanity is suffering from uprootedness. When you become aware of it, you will always feel [a] wavering in the legs, uncertainty, because the legs are really the roots of man. Through his legs man is rooted in the earth.” OSHO

IF you get out and about today and the weather is agreeable, Osho suggested that we stand barefooted on the earth and try to make contact with the earth from inside, allowing  her being to flow below our knees. While doing this, breathe deeply, which would force energy towards the base of our spine and help grounding. He suggest that after a few tries we will begin to feel the vibration in our legs and base chakra moving towards the magnetic pull of the earth, and the earth moving towards her.

Thich Nhat Hanh says:

“know that you are                                                                                                                            apart of the universe,                                                                                                           supported, connected.                                                                                                                               go for a walk!                                                                                                                                                   Feel the love and support.”

Sunday–Red Root–Basic Balance and Connection

Vibrations connect—it is all about the VIBES

and our connection to the VIBES, so power up your ROOT Energy field and feel the secure VIBES of Mother Earth deep within,  deep and low, sweet and low.  Spend as much time as you can today following your breathe down to the center of the EARTH. Connect!

CRYSTALS: Red Jasper–a very calming stone that slowly softly stimulates the Root Chakra. Many Native American cultures consider Red Jasper to symbolize the blood of the Earth.  A gentle stone, Red Jasper works slowly but surely, and is a good stone to ground anyone overly sensitive to crystalline energy. Red Jasper aids in resolving difficult situations and can be used to ground and stabilize your AURA….

SUNDAY correlates with the BASE RED ROOT CHAKRA

BASE CONNECTION:
Grounding to feel Connected to Earth Energies
Feel Healthy and Vibrant–caching the VIBES–with Unlimited Physical Energy
The Root Chakra concerns your core needs for survival, security, and livelihood.
When your Root Chakra is unbalanced, you may feel ungrounded, confused, and lack the ability to move forward. Without a balanced Root Chakra, it is impossible to achieve balance with the other Chakras.  Feels the VIBES and let that RED ENERGY center twirl!

The Root Chakra is located at the base of the spine and its color is red. It has the lowest vibration and is the slowest of wavelength, and so is most closely associated with our physical body and physical energies.

The Root Chakra is also the basis of our masculine and feminine energies. It represents our masculine will and the male sexual organs as well as the feminine energy of the Goddess Kundalini. Therefore, a man can learn to integrate his feminine power and a woman can learn to integrate her masculine power through the clearing and opening of this chakra.

In addition to the chakra clearing and balancing meditation, there are several ways that you can focus your energy and intention on balancing and clearing the Root Chakra. Connect with Earth Energy: walk outside barefoot, spend time in nature, hug a tree, work in the soil, garden.

SOUNDS:  Search for a ‘Meditation Music for Root Chakra’ if you like o meditate with the vibrations of the chakra.  One I found is https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xtdvBz_kUsw.   -“Thirty Minute Root Chakra Meditation-‘The Rigt to Feel Secure and Connect with Earth'” by Salvenc Mbyl

FRAGRANCE:  I personally find that the best way to bring balance to a clogged or congested chakra is to work directly on the chakra by applying a suitable essential oil blend.   Even if you are feeling grounded, it is good to energize the energy center.

Ingredients:
1 oz. Pure Carrier Oil–Jojoba is a good choice as it is nutritive for the skin Or Fractionated Coconut Oil
10-15 drops cedarwood, sandalwood, White or Balsam Fir Essential Oil
1 oz. Clean Dark Glass Bottle.
Directions: Add the carrier oil and essential oil to your bottle and label it. The blend does not have to be highly aromatic to be effective. Remember to never apply essential oils to the skin without first diluting them.

In a quiet, peaceful setting, add 2-3 drops of your Topical Chakra Blend to your fingertips and then lightly apply the Chakra Blend to the associated chakra in a clockwise direction.
For the root chakra, I usually apply my blend either to my feet and/or to my lower back, near my tailbone, but not directly on it.
Once you have applied the blend, focus upon positive thoughts and intentions aimed towards balancing the chakra and sensing the VIBES of the EARTH.  Feel the FLOW!
Ideal times to use the blend are during times of meditation or while practicing yoga, listening to peaceful music or relaxing.

Muladhara Mudra—–The Root Chakra is the foundation for the other chakras, with emphasis on survival and grounding.

Sunday resonates strongly with our BASE CHAKRA

Without a balanced Root Chakra, it is impossible to fully balance the other chakras.

MEDITATION: While standing (tree pose or flat footed), Visualize a glowing red jewel at the center of the earth

From that jewel, a stream of brilliant energy coursing through the earth, —–feel the vibrations in your feet,——- feel the glow as it travels up your legs and settles at the base of your spine spinning and connecting you with the earth.

———————-

We know from physics that transversal energies, such as electromagnetism, which travel in empty space, voids, behave in many respects like longitudinal vibrations which travel in matter, such as sound. For instance, both energies have distinct frequencies. This similarity explains in part why certain sounds affect certain areas of our body.  For example drumming or the sound of C or ‘Doe’ on the Sound of Music’ scale, resonate and activate the energy in our base chakra.

When one of the chakras is out of balance as a result of negative energy flowing through it, it begins to spin too slowly or too fast. When a chakra is not balanced, it can effect that physical region of the body and also effect very specific aspects of our spiritual and emotional selves.

The first chakra governs the bladder, kidneys, lower extremities, and spine. When there is an imbalance, you can experience physical symptoms that include: constipation, weight issues, fatigue, or back pain
Emotionally speaking, when the first chakra is in need of balancing, you may find you’re short-tempered and unusually aggressive. Other signs you need to open up the root chakra are: insecurity, poor decision making, anxiety, or detachment

———————-

If this sounds a bit ‘Woo, Woo’, or is  congering up images of glistening turbans, snakes with funny heads and smoke from some unidentified source, it is noteworthy that the Native Americans (from the North Pole to the SouthPole) as well as the East Indians and Africans figured out the energy systems before Einstein and his sort put numbers, italicized letters and squiggles to these swirling traveling energy forces we call chakras (meaning wheels).

The first writings about the chakras are dated at approximately 1000 B.C., and their origins are based strongly within Hinduism, but the concepts of chakras and energy centers is also fundamental within the Ayurvedic concepts of prana and the Chinese practice of qi.

It is believed that we each have seven primary chakras. Each chakra is thought to resemble a colored wheel that spins in a clockwise direction, and the chakras are thought to each spin at a different rate or frequency, correlating with the prismatic separation of light(think rainbow)

Chakras are invisible to the naked eye and interconnect our physical and spiritual selves. Each of the seven chakras is tied directly to a specific region and nerve center of the body.

Even if you question if the chakras truly exist, the underlying principles of the chakras can still play a special part during prayer, meditation or when trying to improve your physical, spiritual or emotional outlook.

Intention: I can play a more active role in directly focusing my intent on trying to balance the areas of my body and life that need it.

We become endowed with the ability to transmit our own energy field, our individual unit of power. Humans are energy transformers; we are alive and developing in proportion to how much of this universal energy we accept and how freely it flows through us. The better we transmit this energy or allow it to flow through us, the more alive and contented and effective we become.   (FRom ‘Spiritual Energy’ written by Norman Livergood
http://www.hermes-press.com/spiritual_energy.htm)

AFFIRMATION:      As I focus on this red light that radiates from my base chakra, I know that I am of good health and sound mind. I stand in my strength and in my truth. I forgive myself for any neglect of my body in the past. I now love every part of my body, every cell is filled with energy and power. I no longer judge my beautiful self and I accept my greatness.  WHOOPEE!!!!!!!!

Spend the day being mindful of your connection with the earth.  You are of the earth, you are the earth and you are ever so lovable.

Congering up more Red Whoopee,

Priscilla
