Visualize your OUTSTANDING swirling bright orange sacral chakra two inches below your belly button. Breathe in orange to recharge this second chakra. Release negative emotions with each exhale as your orange energy gets brighter and brighter.

As you know, each of us has an energetic field that encases our body and internal organs. This energy, called bioenergy or chi, is responsible for life as it fulfills our need for subtle energy. The vortexes existing in this energetic field are called chakras. The chakras act as points of connection between our physical and non-physical (astral, extraphysical) bodies, enabling energies to flow from one of these vehicles of manifestation to the other. They are the means by which we absorb energy from and externalize energy to the environment, and exchange energy with others; therefore, they form the core system through which we sustain our energy levels, vitality and health.

YOGA
Low Squat (Malasana)—The life lesson in the second chakra involves replacing guilt with forgiveness and acceptance.
This low squat pose focuses on the pelvis and allows you to be open and receptive physically, emotionally, and energetically in order to accept yourself fully.

—Squat with your feet as close together as possible. (Keep your heels on the floor if you can; otherwise, support them on a folded mat.)
—Separate your thighs slightly wider than your torso. Exhaling, lean your torso forward and fit it snugly between your thighs.
—Press your elbows against your inner knees, bringing your palms to together and resist the knees into the elbows. This will help lengthen your front torso.
—To go further, press your inner thighs against the sides of your torso. Reach your arms forward, then swing them out to the sides and notch your shins into your armpits. Press your finger tips to the floor, or reach around the outside of your ankles and clasp your back heels.
–Hold the position for 30 seconds to 1 minute, then inhale, straighten the knees, and stand.
Affirmation: I accept and forgive my OUTSTANDING self.

Springy Saturday CURIOUS Crown Chakra

The crown chakra is a door of universal energy and conscience through which we can reach a higher state of awareness.  Our violet crown (Sahasrara in Sanskrit) leads us to the true nature of life which is abundant in JOY,  PURPOSE and CURIOSITY.

MEDITATION:As we move up the ladder, the higher chakras are more affected by meditation and inner work rather than physical work.

Lotus pose or Padamasana is one of the most opted poses for meditation as it neutralises blood pressure, balances the body and calms the mind. Directly tapping into the higher consciousness, half lotus pose extends the same benefits as a full lotus pose and is a great practice for beginners.

Our third-eye, also known as the Brow Chakra, is a main point for external life energy (prana, chi) to enter and be distributed to the other chakras. It is also a key to ongoing spiritual development. Thus, keeping it as clear and balanced as possible is your ingenuity at work.

As humans we are energy transformers; we are alive and developing in proportion to how much of this universal energy we accept and how freely it flows through us. The better we transmit this energy or allow it to flow through us, the more alive and contented and effective we become.

MEDITATIONS:Put your hands before the lower part of your breast. The middle fingers are straight and touch at the tops, pointing forward. The other fingers are bended and touch at the upper two phalanges. The thumbs point towards you and touch at the tops.
Concentrate on the Third Eye chakra slightly above the point between the eyebrows.
Chant the sound OM or AUM.

Now spend as long as you desire in COMPLETE SILENT MEDITATION

YOGA:build awareness in your ajna chakra to begin to see everything in your life more clearly.
start by doing an awakening exercise for the ajna chakra. Take a comfortable seat. Softly close your eyes. Turn your gaze gently to your third eye, or the space between your eyebrows. Bring your hands to a prayer position and begin rubbing them together vigorously.

Once you have created a good amount of heat between your palms, cup them over your eyes. Let the eyes absorb the heat. Feel the heat soften any tension in or around the eyes. Repeat this process 3 times pausing to feel between each round.

Set Your Ajna Intention
Now set your intention for this practice. To grease the wheels, here are some themes that relate to the sixth chakra: Unlocking intuition; improving correct perception; seeing that you are connected to everyone and everything; inviting third eye wisdom to light your way. Feel free to use any of these or choose your own. As long as your intention feels true for you it has value.

Dolphin Plank
Come onto your hands and knees. Bring your elbows to the floor directly under your shoulders and bring your hands to Prayer (Anjali Mudra). Step the feet back as you straighten your legs behind you. The only points of contact with the floor are the balls of the feet and the forearms. Make your legs super strong, engage your belly and pull your front ribs in and up to widen the low back. This is a challenging pose, stick with it! Imagine the prayer hands and the third eye are connected by an invisible stream. That stream is your intention. Stay laser-focused on it for 5‚Äď10 breaths. Let your resolve to attach to something worthy of your attention make you strong. When you release the pose, rest on your belly.

Eagle Pose
Garudasana
From standing bend your knees. Lift your right knee and stack it on top of your left. Then wrap your right foot behind your left shin if possible. Bring your arms to shoulder height and stack your left elbow on top of your right, wrapping the right hand into the left. Keep elbows bent at 90 degrees. Balance here bringing your hips down low. Encourage your knees to move toward the midline instead of skewing to one side. The word ‚Äúgaruda‚ÄĚ means to devour. Let this pose devour ego, doubt, and fear, clearing the way for loving intention. Spend 5 breaths on this side and then switch.

Warrior III Pose
Virabhadrasana III
From standing with arms by your side, engage your legs and begin to tip the pelvis forward. Send your left leg straight back and up until it is parallel to the floor. Extend the spine and head forward also keeping the upper body parallel to the floor. There should be plum line from the head to the left toes. Reach your arms straight back and firm the triceps. Lift your low belly to widen the low back and stand here strong and balanced. Connect with the third eye center and realize that the more we connect to everyone and everything, the easier it is for us to remain balanced even in the least stable conditions. Stay here for 5 breaths, soft but strong.

Dolphin Pose
This pose is similar to Downward-Facing Dog except its done on the forearms. Begin on your hands and knees. Place your elbows directly under your shoulders and bring your hands to anjali mudra as you did in Dolphin Plank. Tuck your toes and lift your hips up and back as you straighten your legs. Feet should be about hip-width apart. Firm your shoulder blades into the ribs and lift the shoulders away from the ears to free your neck. Walk your feet in a little closer to your arms, bring the thumbs of your prayer mudra to the third eye. Spend 3 breaths here, bringing all of your attention to the third eye center.

Child’s Pose
Balasana
Time to rest! From hands and knees, ease the sitbones back onto the heels into Child’s Pose. Gently rest your forehead on the earth, reach your arms forward and take 5 slow breaths. Let the gentle pressure on the third eye sink you deeper into a meditative and insightful repose. Allow your whole body to release deeply.

Truthful Thursday Throat Chakra

The Throat Chakra, associated with Thursdays, Sky Blue, Truth and with your Self Expression and Communication is a vortex of POTENTIAL energy. ¬†It is a pathway for your life energy to flow as you express to yourself and others what is in your heart–your TRUTH.

Vishuddha, throat chakra,  is the bridge from the heart chakra to the upper most spiritual energy centers. A person with a balanced 5th chakra will express the emotions in their heart, may express their joy for life through song, desires harmonious connection with others and focuses on appreciation of global matters instead of fixating on nationality.

When our throat chakra is in balance, we are able to listen and communicate well. When we are having trouble expressing ourselves, or having trouble with communication (being unable to say what you want to say to others and/or not truly listening to what you are being told) the throat chakra is unbalanced and the energy is throttled and flipped around willy-nilly.  This imbalance will first resonate as a tingle, tickle, ache, lump, cough, trouble swallowing or sensitivity  in the throat region stemming anywhere from the base of the neck to the ears.

As soon as the emotional issue has been resolved through meditation(read that as cleaning out negativity cobwebs), the symptoms will clear up or simply completely vanish.
When in balance the throat chakra offers us faithfulness to our true selves, an ability to express ourselves and our ideas, good communication skills,  and truthfulness.

 

SOUNDS: Meditation Music for the Throat Chakra.  One I found was Open Throat Chakra/Meditation Music and Vibrations at 384 hz by Meditative Music-Meditative Mind

AROMAS:  Diffuse  Frankincense, Camomile, Lavender or Sandalwood

You can also make a throat chakra self-Expression Mist to be worn as a body spray: 8 drops lavender essential oil, 4 drops coriander essential oil, 8 drops bergamot essential oil, 8 drops frankincense essential oil and 1/2 cup  water.  Mix in mister bottle then shake rather vigorously then mist  on yourself and all about when desired.

CRYSTALS:¬†Crystals which vibrate near the¬†same frequency as¬†¬†the Throat Chakra are ¬†Celestite,¬†Lapis Lazuli, ¬†and Turquoise….. ¬†Let your intentions for expressing your compassionate heart clearly to yourself and others be known for the crystals and aromas to be most effective. ¬†Repeat your intentions frequently throughout the day and notice the power of the fragrances and crystals.

MEDITATION:
One way to connect with the swirling blue throat chakra is to chant. Take a comfortable seat. Softly close our eyes and lips. Relax your face and jaw. Begin to make the sound ‚Äúmmmmmmmmm‚ÄĚ at whatever resonant tone is natural for you( ‚Äôso‚Äô on the scale if you desire) Feel the vibration all around the tongue, lips, cheeks, jaw, ears and throat. Imagine this sound vibrating loose any tension in the throat, neck and jaw region. Let go of the times you have had to bite your tongue or have had a lump in your throat from the fear of speaking up. Feel the vibration purifying and freeing your throat energy.

YOGA:
From a comfortable seated position, tend your spine long and root down into your foundation. Reach your right arm out to the right. Gently begin to release your head and let it hang to the right. Drag your right shoulder and shoulder blade down to create a stable foundation. Now extend your left arm out about 6 inches above the floor and reach out and down to create some traction and a big stretch on the left side of the neck. Spend 5-10 breaths here. Be patient. It takes time for the blood to move through and heal tight and stiff muscle tissue, so try to hold for as long as you can without pain. Make your breaths deep and slow and keep your eyes and jaw relaxed. Gently return to center, pause for a moment, and notice the difference, then switch sides.
‚ÄĒ‚ÄĒ
Fish pose‚ÄĒ‚ÄĒRelax for a bit in the Corpse Pose. Stay flat on your back and bring your feet together. With your arms straight by your sides, lay your palms on the floor, then tuck your hands underneath your buttocks. When ready arch your spine tilting your head back so that your crown rests on the ground. Hold for 30 seconds. To come out of the fish, slide your head back and then lower your chest. To finish, relax by lying in the corpse.

OSHO: Chapter 5: In the Litter of the Wayside
“A sannyasin is a plant, a sprout-soft, delicate. The seed is never in danger, remember. What danger can there be for the seed? It is absolutely protected. But the plant is always in danger, the plant is very soft. The seed is like a stone, hard, hidden behind a hard crust. But the plant has to pass through a thousand and one hazards. That is the second stage; the seed dissolving into the soil, the man disappearing as an ego, disappearing as a personality, becoming a plant.
The third possibility, which is even more rare, because not all plants are going to attain to that height where they can bloom into flowers, a thousand and one flowers. Very few human beings attain to the second stage, and very few of those who attain the second stage attain the third, the stage of the flower. Why can’t they attain the third stage, the stage of the flower? Because of greed, because of miserliness, they are not ready to share because of a state of unlovingness.
Courage is needed to become a plant, and love is needed to become a flower. A flower means the tree is opening up its heart, releasing its perfume, giving its soul, pouring its being into existence. The seed can become a plant although it is difficult to drop the armor, but in one way it is simple. The seed will only be gathering more and more, accumulating more and more; the seed  only takes from the soil. The tree only takes from the water, from the air, from the sun; its greed is not disturbed, on the contrary, its ambition is fulfilled. It goes on becoming bigger and bigger. But a moment comes when you have taken so much that now you have to share. You have been benefitted so much, now you have to serve. God has given you so much, now you have to thank, be grateful-and the only way to be grateful is to shower your treasures, give them back to existence, be as unmiserly as existence has been with you. Then the tree grows into flowers, it blossoms.
And the fourth stage is that of fragrance. The flower is still gross, it is still material, but the fragrance is subtle, it is almost something nonmaterial. You cannot see it, it is invisible. You can only smell it, you cannot break it, you cannot grasp it. A very sensitive understanding is needed to have a dialogue with the fragrance. And beyond fragrance there is nothing. The fragrance disappears into the universe, becomes one with it.
These are the four states of the seed, and these are the four stages of man too. Don’t remain a seed. Gather courage-courage to drop the ego, courage to drop the securities, courage to drop the safeties, courage to be vulnerable. But then don’t remain a tree, because a tree without flowers is poor. A tree without flowers is empty, a tree without flowers is missing something very essential. It has no beauty-without love there is no beauty. And it is only through flowers that the tree shows its love. It has taken so much from the sun and the moon and from the earth; now it is time to give!
Life has to attain a balance always. You have taken so much, now give it. Become a flower! Only when you become a flower is there a possibility of disappearing as a fragrance. But¬†then too, remember, don‚Äôt remain a closed flower, don‚Äôt remain a bud; otherwise your fragrance will not be released. And unless your fragrance is released, you are not free, you are in a bondage.‚ÄĚ

It connects us to the earth whilst providing health for the mind and consciousness. It settles anxiety, brings self-esteem and opens the heart to receiving healing energy. Yogis describe sandalwood as ‘oil that has a fragrance of the subtle body and the centre of highest insight and enlightenment’

Chant Meditation:
The Heart Chakra (Anahata) as our energy point of love and compassion is located  physically just behind the heart area. This chakra can be incredibly powerful when used as a focus for meditation.

Sit cross-legged. Let the tips of your index finger and thumb touch. Put your left hand on your left knee and your right hand in front of the lower part of your breast bone (so a bit above the solar plexus).
Concentrate on the Heart chakra at the spine, level with the heart.
Chant the sound YAM.

YOGA:

Why do we practice? To understand the essence of the Self, to unpack the layers of this Truth. There is no end, just as there is no beginning. Every breath, every muscular integration, each moment of physical and mental connection opens new channels towards understanding. We practice to become intimate with our nature. 1.Down Facing Dog,

2.Low Lunge. From Downward-Facing Dog , step your right foot forward. Gently release your left knee to the floor and reach the arms up into a Low Lunge. Square your hips toward the front end of your mat. Bring your left hand to your left hip, reaching your right arm up. You may stay here or slide your left hand down the inner left leg as your curl your spine back, in, and up to open the heart into a deeper backbend. Next, actively press your left hand into your inner right leg and as the leg and hand resist each other you will feel stronger and avoid sinking into the low back. Isometrically, hug your left knee and right foot in toward each other, this will lift the pelvic floor and help you draw your low belly in and up. Finally press down through your right foot and let the heart fly up a little more. Spend 5 breaths here. change sides

The right knee is bent at a right angle and the left leg is reaching long and straight behind you. Reach your arms behind you and interlace the fingers. Gaze upward without jamming your neck and feel for the spacious of the rising heart energy. Spend 5 breaths here and then repeat on other side

AROMAS: For some energetic enhancement diffuse Rosemary and Lemon EO’s to increase the vibration in your glowing spinning solar Plexus located in your stomach area.

CRYSTALS: Energize crystals of  Citrine,Peridot and/or Amber with your intention to feel and own your own power.

MEDITATION:   Put your hands before your stomach, slightly below your solar plexus. Let the fingers join at the tops, all pointing away from you. Cross the thumbs. It is important to straighten the fingers.

Concentrate on this stupendously bright sunshine energy vortex located on the inside of your spine, a bit above the level of the navel.
Chant the sound RAM.

The best solar plexus chakra yoga poses are those that strengthen your core and help you to feel more powerful and confident:

Warrior 1 is a strong pose that establishes a firm connection with the earth and opens up the solar plexus area—Stand in Mountain Pose , Take a deep breath and on an exhale step your left foot back about 3.5 feet.
Turn your left foot to about 45 degree angle. Make sure your left foot is firmly planted and touching the ground.
On an exhale, bend your right knee over the right ankle, so that your shin is perpendicular to the floor. If you can, bring your right thigh parallel with the floor.
Raise your arms above your head and touch the palms together (as in prayer position).
Breathe deeply and hold the position for one minute.
Bend your knees and step your feet back together. Repeat on the other side.

Monday corresponds to our second from the bottom energy vortex, the Sacral Chakra.  This  chakra located just below our navel in our lower abdominal region vibrates  a deep, saturated orange and relates to reproduction on a physical level, creativity and joy and relationships on an emotional level and our energy and passions on a spiritual level.  How radically OUTSTANDING is that?!

¬† ¬†The Sacral Chakra influences personal creativity ranging from artistic expression to creative problem solving. MEDITATION:    Put your hands in your lap, palms up, on top of each other. Left hand underneath, its palm touching the back of the fingers of the right hand. The tips of the thumbs touch gently.       Concentrate on the Sacral chakra at the sacral bone (on the lower back).

Chant the sound VAM.

Affirmation/Intention: “I am radiant, beautiful and strong and enjoy an OUTSTANDINGLY¬†healthy and passionate life”

YOGA:  Low Squat (Malasana)    This low squat focuses on the pelvis and allows you to be open and receptive physically, emotionally, and energetically in order to accept yourself fully.  Intention/affirmation: I accept and love myself.

Dancer’s Pose–This yoga pose stretches thighs, groin, and abdomen and improves balance.

Stand in Mountain Pose, inhale and firmly root your right foot into the ground.

Move your weight into the right foot.

Exhale and lift your left heel toward your buttock as you bend your knee.

Reach back with your left hand and grasp your left ankle or your foot.

Raise your right arm up towards the ceiling and hold it there.

Begin to lift your left leg upwards away from the ground and your body. Keep lifting.

As you lift your left leg, tilt your upper body forward.

Hold the posture and feel the energy flowing through your pelvic area.

This is an excellent yoga pose for balance. It requires a great deal of concentration.

2.Child’s Pose,–This is the most powerful pose to become in touch with your own breathing and with the movement of the air in your abdomen. In this posture, you can let the prana of water to flow and awaken yourself to your inner life as you observe your breath.

RED SUNDAY–starting with Ergonomically Earthly Energy

Sunday correlates with our ROOT CHAKRA, our energy Base,through which the vibrations travel up along the inside of the spine charging the energy centers where the life force lines cross.

Where the ¬†flow of life ¬†lines cross, the Nadis, ¬†is where the vortices of energy spin–wheels of potential energy and light, aka Chakras. ¬†Energy vibrates at various¬†frequencies¬† and those frequencies emit different colors. Red is the ¬†slowest of the visible frequencies (Frequency/Tone: 194.18 Hz.(Chakra Platonic) – 396 Hz.(Sofeggio) – 256 Hz (Carrier Wave).

The 7 Chakras are both interdependent and interconnected with each other. They help improve and develop the entire person ‚Äď both his/her irrational and rational selves, emotional and intuitive sides, his/her aesthetic and pragmatic tendencies, as well as material and spiritual characteristics.

The Root Chakra is most closely associated with our physical body and physical energies. The Hindu depiction of this chakra is the four-petalled lotus. Also, enjoy your physical body ‚Äď engage in physical activity and be present now ‚Äď experience your body using your physical senses. Eat root vegetables. Saturday Crown Connection

The crown chakra is located at the top of our head or in the crown area and corresponds to the violet color. The role of this chakra is based in awakening consciousness and attaining enlightenment through the integration of the self into the one universal form of intelligence.

          The energy we conduct of the Higher Force calls its complement into our being. Emanations of Higher Energy become available to transform our lives, recharging and repairing our own systems. Energy upheavals shift us out of destructive habits, encouraging us to relearn integrative ways of being.

          This Chakra is associated with divine wisdom, our spirit, our Oneness with the Universe, our Unity with all that is, and Enlightenment

We use the seventh chakra as a tool to communicate with our spiritual nature. It is through this vortice that the life force is dispersed from the universe into the lower 6 chakras. It has been referred to as our “GOD SOURCE” – but this terminology might be confusing to anyone who equates God with religious dogma, because of this I choose to call it a spiritual connection or communicator.

This chakra is often pictured as a lotus flower opening to allow spiritual awakening in an individual. The crown chakra could also be considered the well intuitive knowing is drawn from.

Essential oils have amazing subtle (energetic or vibrational) qualities. The use of essential oils for energetic purposes is called subtle aromatherapy

In fact, the therapeutic (biochemical) attributes of essential oils are also relevant to energy work because energetic imbalances tend to eventfully manifest in the physical body. Because of this, essential oils and aromatherapy can be said to be inherently multi-dimensional and in essence integrated. For me, this makes them a wonderful bridge between subtle (energetic) and biochemical (clinical) modalities that promote healing, balance and wellness.

MEDITATION:   To open the crown chakra, put your hands before your stomach. Let the ring fingers point up, touching at their tops. Cross the rest of your fingers, with the left thumb underneath the right.
Concentrate on the Crown chakra at the top of your head.
Chant the sound NG.

As we move up the ladder, the higher chakras are more affected by mediation and inner work rather than physical work.

Half Lotus :Start by sitting in an easy pose on the mat. For further support, beginners can sit on a cushion to stay longer in the pose. Lift the left foot and gently place it on the right thigh, while the other foot stays underneath the left thigh. Place the hands on the knees. Stay here and mediate if you can hold for long enough or practice daily to achieve the long duration required for mediation. Why to: Lotus pose or Padamasana is one of the most opted poses for meditation as it neutralises blood pressure, balances the body and calms the mind. Directly tapping into the higher consciousness, half lotus pose extend the same benefits as a full lotus pose and is a great practice for beginners.

For lotus visualization be seated and bring your hands into prayer  at your heart. Bring your awareness to your pelvic floor and let it rest there until you feel grounded, supported, and relaxed. Then begin to glide your awareness up the front of your spine slowly checking in and resting for a moment on each chakra as you go. Imagine the spine as a stalk or reed and draw your awareness up through the reed. Once you reach to the crown of your head, imagine there at the top of that stalk of energy a luminous white lotus flower. One by one begin to open each petal of the thousand-petaled lotus. Imagine as you open the lotus that your innermost self is merging more and more with the universe. Let this happen in the most natural and beautiful manner. Spend as much time in this visualization meditation as you like.

YOGA:

Tree Pose  Start with Mountain pose, keep the feet hip width apart. Extend your spine tall and fix your gaze forward at a focal point. Breathe in and lift the right leg and place the sole of your right foot on the left leg, inner thigh. The heel of the right leg should touch the perineum otherwise, can rest on the thigh, or even on the calf initially. Lifting the torso upwards, take a deep breath & raise the arms up, joining the hands in Namaste mudra. If you can, take your gaze upwards towards the ceiling. Stay here for 5 to 7 breaths and repeat on the other side. Why to: A restorative and a balancing pose, the position of the arms and gaze taps into the energies of the crown chakra. The position of the body, works from root to the tip of the head, by aligning the chakras in a string. Also, rejuvenating the mind, it strengths the whole body.

Savasana or Corpse Pose How to: Lying on your back, lift your pelvis and slide your tailbone away to comfortably spread your lower back. Keep just a light, natural arch to your lower back. Rest your pelvis on the ground. Place both the feet and the arms 3 to 4 feet apart with palms facing the ceiling. For extended support one can place a yoga blanket, cushion or pillow underneath the calves to relax the lower back. Now, close your eyes and take a slow deep breath. As you exhale, let your body relax and sink into the floor. Maintain stillness as you relax and quiet the mind. Completely loosen the whole body, like your body is sinking in the floor. Stay here for as long as you like. Why to: This pose gets its name from the posture of a dead body. It requires the stillness of a corpse, which makes it a challenging one. It helps in the repair of tissues and cells and in releasing stress. Savasana helps to calm and balance the crown chakra.
