Confident, Creative, Cheerful Sacral Chakra

Monday resonates bright ORANGE with your source of confidence, creativity, cheerfulness and friendly Sacral Chakra. ¬† This potential energy area in your pelvic region influences personal creativity ranging from artistic expression to creative problem solving. ¬†We are energy transformers–alive and developing in proportion to how much of this universal energy we accept and how freely it flows through us. The better we transmit this energy or allow it to flow through us the more confident, creative, and cheerful we become.

Chant: ¬†“I FEEL”

Silently Meditate, focusing on your orange energy and ¬†affirming “I Feel”

SOUNDS: Start some meditation music.  One I found was: Extremely Powerful | Sacral Chakra Awakening Music for Meditation| 303 Hz Frequency Vibrations Meditative Mind РMeditation Music

CRYSTALS: Orange Calcite helps integrate the spiritual realm with the physical body, enhances creativity, and is helpful when working with emotional issues. Orange Calcite assist with energizing and cleansing the lower chakras. Working with Orange Calcite, read that as intentions, can bring higher insights from the upper chakras down into the lower chakras for processing so they can be used in a more instinctual way without needing extended thought.
Meditating with Orange Calcite can bring insights into the causes of apathy or lethargy, allowing you to take back control over your life (in place of worry).  Let your intention for JOYFUL, CREATIVE, CONFIDENCE  be known then silently listen to the Universe knowing your crystals have the same vibration.

Orange Calcite’s vital energy can serve as a catalyst for the release of past traumas that have been holding you back, allowing for optimism and joy to come in. If you have been  experiencing depression you may  benefit from Orange Calcite’s infusion of bright vibrations into your lower chakras.

AROMAS:  Neroli, also called Orange Blossom, with its sweet, delicate, citrusy aroma, has powerful emotional effects. It calms and relaxes the body and spirit. Its frequency vibrates at the second chakra and encourages sensuality, peace, courage, and joy. A natural tranquilizer, Neroli is often used for anxiety and shock from trauma.   Not only do select essential oils enhance your joy, cheerfulness, creativity and confidence but they  can destroy harmful fungi, viruses, and bacteria in the air we breathe as well as inside our bodies. While being deadly to pathogenic microbes, they are harmless and helpful to humans.             Essential oils can act like hormones to keep our organs and bodily functions in balance and can even fill in the differences, or stimulate our bodies to produce, when our bodies do not manufacture the hormones we need.         Essential oils can elevate our bodily frequencies, helping us to stay healthy and immune to disease. Their vibrations resonate with our tissues in helpful ways according to our wishes and mental directions.       Essential oils are nature’s most powerful antioxidants that cleanse free radicals from our systems. This helps maintain a state of wellness and can extend our life spans.        Essential oils work in our limbic systems to help clear negative feelings and blocked emotions, thus eliminating the root causes of many diseases and conditions. Essential oils support and increase our intuitive powers and sharpen our spiritual awareness, which is why religions all over the world, from ancient times to the present, diffuse the aromas of essential oils as incense in their sanctuaries in order to facilitate effective meditation and prayer.

MEDITATION:      Put your hands in your lap, palms up, on top of each other. Left hand underneath, its palm touching the back of the fingers of the right hand. The tips of the thumbs touch gently.
Concentrate on the Sacral chakra at the sacral bone (on the lower back).
Chant the sound VAM.
Affirmation: “I am RADIANT!

I am BEAUTIFUL!

I AM CREATIVE!

I AM CHEERFUL!

I AM CONFIDENT!

I AM STRONG!

I ENJOY a HEALTHY and PASSIONATE LIFE!

As you use hip openers and forward folds to work with this chakra, you cultivate a sense of fluidity and ease in your low belly, low back, hips, sacral plexus, and pelvis that connects with your creative energy.

SEE YALL LATER: ¬† One way to access the potential that lies within this chakra is through creative movement. Everyone, including you, is inherently, wildly creative. So ¬†put on some Latin Music which resonates with the Sacral Chakra and start moving your body. Just move‚ÄĒbe silly, be soulful, let it rip. Creative movement is native to you, you just have to remind yourself by doing it. And when you do, you‚Äôll also unlock creative thinking. Creative thinking is what empowers you to take positive actions that can change your life and the lives of others. So what are you waiting for?
Dance away your cares, Love your body!  Put some Latin Music  on your play list, DANCE away your cares.  LOVE your body, LOVE your confident, creative, cheerful SELF.

Violet Crown Chakra Saturday

Saturday correlates with the Violet colored energy center known as the crown chakra —it relates to consciousness as pure awareness. It is our connection to the greater world beyond, to a timeless, spaceless place of all-knowing. When developed, this chakra brings us knowledge, wisdom, understanding, spiritual connection, and bliss.

It’s POTENTIAL qualities: grace, beauty, serenity, oneness with all that is
Life Issues: selfless realization of your indelible connection with the greater whole of life and creation of a vital and resilient spiritual context for holding your life experiences

Positive: The Guru–Gurus are people who realize who they are. They know that the divine force flows through them and they are identified with that as the substratum of their being, rather than the temporal parts of their life. They let life move through them and take them ever deeper into consciousness itself.

Negative: The Egotist—-Egotists are people who think their efforts alone carry them through life. They believe that they are separate from a greater whole of existence and that their striving and effort controls the outcome of their life.

LET GO of the EGO.  Join up with the UNIVERSAL FORCES and let the force be with you as you expand your Violet crown Chakra:

AFFIRMATIONS:

“I connect easily with spirit”
“I am sure of my inner knowing”
“My experience is abundant”
“I am pure light and love”

SOUNDS: Meditation Music for Crown Chakra of your choosing; or iTunes:A Guided Visualization “Shifting Perspective and Awakening to Oneness”–Crown Chakra; or the Tina Turner chants linked below

CRYSTALS:Selenite is by far one of the most powerful and one of the highest vibrational stones existing on our planet at this time. Selenite Cleansing Stone has ability, given your intentions, to unblock stagnant energy and remove negative energy (from Muse Jewelry on Pinterest.)

Endow the stones, aromas and sounds with your positive affirmations:

‚ÄúI connect easily with spirit‚ÄĚ
‚ÄúI am sure of my inner knowing‚ÄĚ
‚ÄúMy experience is abundant‚ÄĚ
‚ÄúI am pure light and love‚ÄĚ

AROMAS:  Frankincense and sandalwood are probably the two essential oils most frequently identified with the crown chakra. Both promote meditative states, encourage higher states of consciousness, expand the crown chakra, support spiritual connection and growth. Sandalwood encourages astral projection. Frankincense expands the aura and helps awaken one’s spiritual or soul purpose. Frankincense also works on physical manifestations of crown chakra dysfunction such as anxiety, restlessness, nervous tension and stress-related conditions.

DIFFUSING-It is pleasant to have homemade essential oil diffusers in various places in your environment ¬†to infuse your space with a continuous and subtle scent. ¬†Many ¬†packaged diffusers often contain unnatural ingredients that we don‚Äôt necessarily want diffused around the house along with the scent. To skip the unwanted ingredients and the expense, try making your own oil diffuser using an essential oil of your choosing. Or, experiment with combining oils for a highly-personalized scent ‚ÄĒ just be sure to test out the combination by adding a drop or two of each of the oils to a cotton ball to make sure the blend is appealing to you.

You will need a container with a wide base and a small opening , as it will discourage evaporation; reeds (health, online or craft stores  carry reeds); Safflower or Mineral oil (Mineral oil less viscous than vegetable oil and is better at carrying the scent up the reeds); Plain  unflavored, nondiluted vodka( helps thin out the oil so that it will move more easily up the reeds); Essential oil(s).
Pour one-quarter cup mineral oil and two tablespoons vodka into a measuring cup and stir well to combine the liquids.  Add in one and one-half tablespoons of essential oil (the ratio should be about one part essential oil to four parts mineral oil and vodka).
Stir well and pour the oil mixture into your container. Insert as many reeds as will fit into the opening.
Flip the reeds every few days to optimize the scent diffusion. ¬†Each time you you are mindful of the scent repeat an affirmation: “I AM….”

image¬† ¬† “Nam Myoho Renge Kyo” by Joyce Devibe Ft. OceanaHeart

MEDITATION:  Sitting in half lotus or Full Lotus position chant **Nam-myoho-renge-kyo**
The purpose of chanting this phrase is to attain perfect and complete awakening (enlightenment).

Nam MyŇćhŇć Renge KyŇć, represents devotion or conviction in the Mystic Law of Life, God, or Universal Source. ¬† ¬†Some followers of Buddhism also consider MyŇćhŇć Renge KyŇć to be the name of the ultimate law permeating the universe.
Broken down, MyŇćhŇć Renge KyŇć consists of MyŇćhŇć (Ś¶ôś≥ē), “sublime,” “unfathomable” or “mystic” law

YOGA
As we move up the ladder, the higher chakras are more affected by mediation and inner work rather than physical work, but here are two basic asanas, or poses:

Tree Pose: Start with Mountain pose, keep the feet hip width apart. Extend your spine tall and fix your gaze forward at a focal point. Breathe in and lift the right leg and place the sole of your right foot on the left leg, inner thigh. The heel of the right leg should touch the perineum otherwise, can rest on the thigh, or even on the calf initially. Lifting the torso upwards, take a deep breath & raise the arms up, joining the hands in Namaste mudra. If you can, take your gaze upwards towards the ceiling. Stay here for 5 to 7 breaths and repeat on the other side. Why to: A restorative and a balancing pose, the position of the arms and gaze taps into the energies of the crown chakra. The position of the body, works from root to the tip of the head, by aligning the chakras in a string. Also, rejuvenating the mind, it strengths the whole body.

Corpse Pose How to: Lying on your back, lift your pelvis and slide your tailbone away to comfortably spread your lower back. Keep just a light, natural arch to your lower back. Rest your pelvis on the ground. Place both the feet and the arms 3 to 4 feet apart with palms facing the ceiling. For extended support one can place a yoga blanket, cushion or pillow underneath the calves to relax the lower back. Now, close your eyes and take a slow deep breath. As you exhale, let your body relax and sink into the floor. Maintain stillness as you relax and quiet the mind. Completely loosen the whole body, like your body is sinking in the floor. Stay here for as long as you like. Why to: This pose gets its name from the posture of a dead body. It requires the stillness of a corpse, which makes it a challenging one. It helps in the repair of tissues and cells and in releasing stress. Savasana helps to calm and balance the crown chakra.

SEE YALL LATER:
Constantly regard the universe as one living being, having one substance and one soul; and observe how all things have reference to one perception, the perception of this one living being; and how all things act with one movement; and how all things are the cooperating causes of all things that exist; observe too the continuous spinning of the thread and the structure of the web:–Marcus Aurelius

All Day send out the vibration of ‘Nam myoho renge kyo’ to intensify your connection to the Universe.

See BEYOND illusions with YOUR Third Eye Energy

The sixth chakra, our third-eye, has the potential energy to open up our ability to trust our intuition, to allow ourselves to ‘see’ beyond the evident and trust our ‘visions’. The swirling indigo energy between our brow has the potential to allow life energy–prana-chi-Universal Source, God –to be the wind beneath our wings.

image           image From Pinterest and Tumblr.com

So much of our lives depend upon our Third Eye Chakra being clear and balanced
because we create our realities based on our thoughts,
and our thoughts are often visual in nature.
Everything we imagine,
all our hopes, dreams, goals,
visions and aspirations
are all part of our Third Eye Chakra.
If we are ‚Äúseeing‚ÄĚ beautiful versions of our lives,
then that is what we create.
If we are seeing fearful worrisome situations,
then that is what we tend to manifest…….

When we are mindful of the absolute correlation between what we have been thinking and feeling‚ÄĒand what is manifesting in our life experience‚ÄĒwe will be more aware of the stimulation of our own thoughts.

All of us are connected to the limitless power and most of us aren’t using but a fraction of it!!

I AM is a positive vibration, not I wish I was…..
Repeat these affirmations once every morning and once every evening when you wish to access your Brow Chakra. Use ‘I am’ as your positive affirmations as that is a vibration:

I THINK THE VERY BEST OF MY SELF IN ALL SITUATIONS, AT ALL TIMES.

I open myself to know my inner guidance and deepest wisdom.

I align my consciousness with the source of all life.

I AM unlimited in my capacity for joy, healing and happiness.

I release and forgive the past.

I open myself to new energy, new people, places and experiences.

I live in the light of my truth and I accept what I know.

I know I AM full of the Universal Source of grace, light and love.

I AM the source of truth and love in my life
As I tap into my inner wisdom, I know that all is well in my world.

AROMAS: Mugwort–aka Artemesia Vulgaria’s essence has the potential–if given your positive intentions, to stimulate the third eye chakra while opening the soul to a wider consciousness. Mugwort essence may drive stagnant energy out of the psychic body.

MEDITATION

Begin meditating by sitting in a place where you feel comfortable and safe to explore your inner reality. You can light a candle or burn incense if you choose. Begin to relax by letting your eyes sink deep into your skull and let your tongue relax in your throat. Release tension in your jaw by relaxing your chin, and let your shoulders drop as you take several deep, relaxing breaths. The more you can attune your attention to your breath, the easier it is to slip into a meditational state where the mind is still and you experience peace all around you. When you feel receptive, begin the meditation for the Brow Chakra. It is designed to activate the qualities of wisdom, knowledge, intuition, discernment and imagination. It will help you to focus on the truth of your experiences and put you more deeply in touch your own true nature. As you relax, visualize a large, indigo blue, five-pointed star. Locate this in your Brow Chakra, between your eyebrows. Expand the form and intensify the colour.

Go through each one of the five points and designate them as wisdom, discernment, imagination, intuition and knowledge. Feel the flow of energy move through each one of the points. It will expand the chakra and open you mind to developing these qualities within yourself. You can reflect on each one of these qualities by itself and visualize how it would manifest in your life. For instance, how would wisdom help you in a particular situation? How would you use discernment if you could develop it? What would you know if you allowed your intuition to guide you? What type of knowledge would help you through a difficult time? How would you imagine your life in five years’ time?

Allow the light from this star to expand and fill your entire head with a soft light that permeates your interior space. This is the light of consciousness which will bring you peace of mind and inner knowing. It is the light of truth, which expresses your deepest longing for oneness, love and beauty.

Let this light fill the dark recesses of your mind as you allow it to expand and fill you. See the beautiful, rich blue light fill your eyes, ears, nose and mouth and cover your entire face and skull. See that light filling your head and cooling off any agitated emotions or sense of frustration you may be feeling. Allow this light to run through every nerve ending in your brain and cool you off and give you a deep sense of balance and well-being. Give yourself permission to sit quietly and explore this light of consciousness for several minutes. Are there images that come to your awareness, or words? If they repeat themselves they may hold an important message for you. If any images appear in your mind’s eye while you are meditating, allow them to be there; simply notice them and give them space. As you practice this meditation it will become easier to focus your attention and concentrate on this inner light.

When you are ready to complete this meditation, visualize a cross of light within a circle of light sealing and protecting the Brow Chakra. This will seal in the energy that you have opened up from practicing this meditation As you practice more often, you will find your mind is clear and receptive to ideas that can support you in your life development. You will feel restored and calm after doing this for a few minutes daily

Blue Throat Chakra Thursday

The fifth chakra, called visuddha, is located at the throat. ‚ÄúVisuddha‚ÄĚ , in Sanskrit, means very pure or purification.
Visuddha chakra is associated with ether, the spirit. “You can conceptualize it as a spaciousness around your throat and neck through which profound spiritual truths can flow. The purification aspect implies that in order to fully tap into the power of the visuddha chakra you need to have done a certain amount of work in the other energy centers. In other words, have you addressed the issues associated with chakras 1‚Äď4 yet? This will increase your understanding and sensitivity, which will in turn gain you deeper access to the gifts of the more subtle upper chakras.
This energy center is associated with your voice. It relates to your ability to speak your truth, express ideas clearly, truthfully, and gracefully, and become harmoniously attuned to both inner and outer vibrations. ” ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬†When the swirling blue potential energy of the throat chakra is out of alignment, you may feel like you don‚Äôt know how to ask for what you need and feel unable to shape the world you want to create. Poor communication is the result.
The visuddha chakra bridges the heart and the mind. When that space is clear, it integrates the wisdom of both, allowing profound spiritual truths to flow freely. You will be able to effectively communicate your needs, desires, creative ideas, boundaries, empathy, and love.” (From ¬† ¬†YOGA JOURNAL YOGA 101 CHAKRAS, ¬†BY STEPHANIE SNYDER | JAN 19, 2015 ¬† “Introduction of Throat Chakra)

CRYSTALS: Blue Lapis Lazuli

MEDITATE  quietly and silently for awhile then Open your visuddha chakra by creating spaciousness around the throat and neck through which profound spiritual truths can flow.
One of the easiest ways to connect with your visuddha energy is to chant. Take a comfortable seat. Softly close your eyes and lips. Relax your face and jaw. Begin to make the sound ‚Äúmmmmmmmm‚ÄĚ at whatever resonant tone is natural for you. Feel the vibration all around the tongue, lips, cheeks, jaw, ears, and throat. Imagine this sound vibrating loose any tension in the throat neck and jaw region. Letting go of the times you have had to bite your tongue or have had a lump in your throat from the fear of speaking up. Feel the vibration purifying and freeing your visuddha energy.

Now set your intention for this practice. To grease the wheels, here are some themes that relate to the fifth chakra: Communicating clearly, honestly, and with compassion; releasing fear of speaking up for yourself or for others; being a good listener; learning not to overtalk or dominate conversations; refraining from gossip. Feel free to use any of these or choose your own. As long as your intention feels true for you it has value.

Neck Release
From a comfortable seated position, extend your spine long and root down into your foundation. Reach your right arm out to the right. Gently begin to release your head and let it hang to the right. Drag your right shoulder and shoulder blade down to create a stable foundation. Now extend your left arm out about 6 inches above the floor and reach out and down to create some traction and a big stretch on the left side of the neck. Spend 5‚Äď10 breaths here. Be patient. It takes time for the blood to move through and heal tight and stiff muscle tissue, so try to hold for as long as you can without pain. Make sure your breath is deep and slow and your eyes and jaw remain relaxed. Gently return to center, pause for a moment, and notice the difference, then switch sides.

Seated Cat-Cow
In cross-legged seated position, bring your hands to your knees for leverage. As you inhale, arch your spine forward and gaze up, creating a backbend shape in the spine in a seated variation of Cow Pose (Bitliasana). As you exhale, pull the navel back toward the spine, hollowing front body in a seated variation of Cat Pose (Marjaryasana). As you inhale, head and tail move back and as you exhale, head and tail curl forward and in. This is a complete undulation of the spine that creates a compression and release action in the throat. Go slowly and let each movement span an entire inhalation or exhalation. Find a rhythm that feels good‚ÄĒfluid but not fast. Continue for 5‚Äď10 rounds.

Knees-Chest-Chin
Ashtanga Namaskar
In this pose there are eight points of contact, which are meant to represent the eight limbs of Ashtanga Yoga as outlined by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutra. The eight points are feet, hands, knees, chest, and chin. From hands and knees, begin to dip the heart toward the floor. Keeping your buttocks up high, let your chest and chin touch down. You may need to scoot your knees back a bit depending on your flexibility. The front of the throat is extremely open in this pose. Go slowly and consciously. These days we spend so much time using devices that keep our chin stuck to our chest that this pose can be very intense. Spend 3 breaths here and then rest.

image

Fish Pose
Matsyendrasana
To come into Fish Pose, begin lying flat on your back. Walk your hands under your sitting bones with palms face down. Squeeze the arms as close together as you can. Draw shoulder blades toward each other underneath you and pause. Notice how wide open the chest is already here. Moving from the back of the heart, begin to press into your elbows and lift the chest. Rest the top of your head lightly on the floor. Avoid both hanging and putting too much weight on the head. Press down through legs, hands, and elbows to keep your neck supported. Let your heart and throat open. Hold this pose for 5 breaths and then rest.

Throat Chakra Chant + Meditation
Now that you have spent some time connecting with the fifth chakra through asana breath, and intention, please have a comfortable cross-legged seat. Keeping your eyes closed, begin to chant the bija mantra for visuddha chakra which is HAM. You may either chant it out loud or silently to yourself. Think of this mantra as a code. As you chant, the code begins to unpack itself and reveal to you the sacred intelligence of the fifth chakra energy center. As you chant this word HAM, try to sense the vibration of the sound all around the throat and neck. Feel free to experiment with pace and volume and chant in a way that resonates with you. Spend at least 2 minutes with your chant, more if you like.

Corpse Pose
Savasana
When you finish chanting, lie back in Savasana and consciously soften around the throat and neck. Release all thoughts and relax into the earth as you drift into a quiet and restful repose. ¬† Above is from ¬†YogaJournal.com,”Throat Chakra Tune-Up Practice byStephanie Snyder¬†“who also has a soundtrack available.

SEE YALL LATER _Hopefully you will have day mindful of the energy opening your throat to speak your truth with loving compassion.

Vibrant Green Heart Chakra

Vibrant Green Heart Chakra is where Mind, Body and Spirit Unite!

Heart Chakra Spin heart zentangle          Anahata Heart Chakra                                 Zentangle from Pinterest         on Pinterest by Examiner.com

Your ¬†vibrating Heart Chakra is all about love, air, social identity….

It’s also about balance, equilibrium, and well-being.

If ¬†we ask what is well-being and ¬†how we want to live ‚ÄĒ what we seek from life, what makes life meaningful for us, most of us will agree that the goal of all our goals is happiness.

Most definitions of happiness, ¬†Eric Fromm, (Great humanistic philosopher of the 20th century, as explored by Maria Popova in “Brain Pickings Weekly”¬†¬†March 27th ),¬†observes,” converge at some version of having our needs met and our wishes fulfilled ‚ÄĒ but this raises the question of what it is we actually want…. It‚Äôs essentially a question about human nature ‚ÄĒ or, rather, about the interplay of nature and nurture mediated by norms. Adding to the vocabulary of gardening as a metaphor for understanding happiness and making sense of mastery, Fromm illustrates his point:

This is indeed well understood by any gardener. The aim of the life of a rosebush is to be all that is inherent as potentiality in the rosebush: that its leaves are well developed and that its flower is the most perfect rose that can grow out of this seed. The gardener knows, then, in order to reach this aim he must follow certain norms that have been empirically found. The rosebush needs a specific kind of soil, of moisture, of temperature, of sun and shade. It is up to the gardener to provide these things if he wants to have beautiful roses. But even without his help the rosebush tries to provide itself with the optimum of needs. It can do nothing about moisture and soil, but it can do something about sun and temperature by growing ‚Äúcrooked,‚ÄĚ in the direction of the sun, provided there is such an opportunity. Why would not the same hold true for the human species?

Even if we had no theoretical knowledge about the reasons for the norms that are conducive to man‚Äôs optimal growth and functioning, experience tells us just as much as it tells the gardener. Therein lies the reason that all great teachers of man have arrived at essentially the same norms for living, the essence of these norms being that the overcoming of greed, illusions, and hate, and the attainment of love and compassion, are the conditions for attaining optimal being. Drawing conclusions from empirical evidence, even if we cannot explain the evidence theoretically, is a perfectly sound and by no means ‚Äúunscientific‚ÄĚ method, although the scientists‚Äô ideal will remain, to discover the laws behind the empirical evidence.

He distills the basic principle of life’s ultimate aim:

The goal of living [is] to grow optimally according to the conditions of human existence and thus to become fully what one potentially is; to let reason or experience guide us to the understanding of what norms are conducive to well-being, given the nature of man that reason enables us to understand.
But one of the essential ingredients of well-being, Fromm notes, has been gruesomely warped by capitalist industrial society ‚ÄĒ the idea of freedom and its attainment by the individual:

Liberation has been exclusively applied to liberation from outside forces; by the middle class from feudalism, by the working class from capitalism, by the peoples in Africa and Asia from imperialism.

Such external liberation, Fromm argues, is essentially political liberation ‚ÄĒ an inherently limiting pseudo-liberation, which can obscure the emergence of various forms of imprisonment and entrapment within the political system. He writes:

This is the case in Western democracy, where political liberation hides the fact of dependency in many disguises… Man can be a slave even without being put in chains… The outer chains have simply been put inside of man. The desires and thoughts that the suggestion apparatus of society fills him with, chain him more thoroughly than outer chains. This is so because man can at least be aware of outer chains but be unaware of inner chains, carrying them with the illusion that he is free. He can try to overthrow the outer chains, but how can he rid himself of chains of whose existence he is unaware?

Any attempt to overcome the possibly fatal crisis of the industrialized part of the world, and perhaps of the human race, must begin with the understanding of the nature of both outer and inner chains; it must be based on the liberation of man in the classic, humanist sense as well as in the modern, political and social sense… The only realistic aim is total liberation, a goal that may well be called radical (or revolutionary) humanism.

The two most pernicious chains keeping us from liberation, Fromm observes, are our culture‚Äôs property-driven materialism and our individual intrinsic tendencies toward narcissism…..”

Those internal ‘chains’ clog up the free flow of Universal energy -chi-Prana that allow our very essence to expand and give off the fragrance of our one-of-a-kindness.

“The only thing that the robot cannot do is meditation. In other words, I am saying that those who are not in meditation are being robots, without being aware that they are just utilities, functions, they are needed.

But a person¬†of meditation ¬† realizes that it does not matter whether they are¬†needed or not ‚Äď they are a¬†joy unto themselves. They¬†are bliss, they¬†do not depend on anybody ¬†or anyTHING to make themselves¬†blissful. That is the only freedom possible in the world. Otherwise we are a slave in chains.

                                                 pink rose petals

“I would like people to understand it absolutely that unless you become blissful on your own accord, unless your rose opens within your own being, you are just a commodity, just a thing, an object. Meditation reveals your subjectivity. Subjectivity is your consciousness, and your consciousness and its experience makes your life significant, meaningful, eternal, immortal, without any beginning and without any end. A celebration, moment-to-moment a dance.

And unless you have caste aside the chains of slavery and transformed your life into a moment-to-moment dance you have missed the opportunity that existence gives you.”

and backbends.

Heart Chakra backbend

Being an even-numbered, feminine chakra, the heart center naturally yearns to release and let go. Doing backbends develops the trust and surrender we need to open the heart fully. When we feel fearful, there is no room for love, and our bodies show contraction. When we choose love, the fear melts away, and our practice takes on a joyful quality. In many backbending poses, the heart is positioned higher than the head. It’s wonderfully refreshing to let the mind drop away from the top position and instead lead with the heart.

Some signs that the heart chakra is overpowering your life can include co-dependency, possessiveness, jealousy, heart disease, and high blood pressure. For these symptoms, forward bends are the best antidote, because they are grounding and foster introspection. While people with deficient heart chakras need to open to receive love more fully, those with excessive heart chakras find healing by slowing down to discover inside themselves the nourishment they have been seeking from others.

“If I had my life to live over, I would start barefoot earlier in the spring and stay that way later in the fall.¬† I would go to more dances. I would ride more merry-go-rounds. I would pick more daisies. “~Nadine Stair

We choose how to live each day, and we choose the type of person we want to be.¬† Unfortunately, we often choose the type of person that we think others want to see rather than the person we truly are, and that prevents us from going barefoot early in the spring or spending time picking daisies when we could be “being productive.”¬†

How about slinging off the chains of expectations and finding something to do today that doesn’t take much time at all, or commercial ‘possessions’, but is truly enjoyable? ¬†Why not do it? And then keep on doing it each day!! ¬†Experience FREEDOM to just be sparkling YOU doing what you like to do.

Solar Plexus

Manipura, the Solar Plexus Chakra, is also known as the power chakra. It is symbolized by a lotus with ten petals and it relates to the color yellow.

Solar Plexus

The Manipura rules personal power, will, and autonomy. It is the center where personality & identity is formed and emotions, intuition, & psychic energies are integrated into the self.

The Manipura is the center of your self-esteem, your willpower, self-discipline, as well as warmth in your personality.

It is all about who you are.

A person with an open and balanced Manipura values herself and her work, is confident in her ability to do something well, loves and accepts herself, is willing to express herself in a powerful way, knows that she has the freedom to choose to be herself and direct her own life.

When it is blocked, you lack courage, have low self-esteem, and feel stagnant with little or no vitality.

Balancing the Manipura allows us to feel cheerful, vital, strong & alive.

Outstanding Orange Sacral Chakra MonDAY

OUTSTANDING ORANGE Sacral Chakra

Visualize your OUTSTANDING swirling bright orange sacral chakra two inches below your belly button. Breathe in orange to recharge this second chakra. Release negative emotions with each exhale as your orange energy gets brighter and brighter.

As you know, each of us has an energetic field that encases our body and internal organs. This energy, called bioenergy or chi, is responsible for life as it fulfills our need for subtle energy. The vortexes existing in this energetic field are called chakras. The chakras act as points of connection between our physical and non-physical (astral, extraphysical) bodies, enabling energies to flow from one of these vehicles of manifestation to the other. They are the means by which we absorb energy from and externalize energy to the environment, and exchange energy with others; therefore, they form the core system through which we sustain our energy levels, vitality and health.

When our OUTSTANDING swirling orange Sacral Chakra is open and balanced, we have an ability to take risks, we are creative, we are committed, are passionate, sexual and outgoing. ¬†How’s that for awesomeness?!?

YOGA
Low Squat (Malasana)—The life lesson in the second chakra involves replacing guilt with forgiveness and acceptance.
This low squat pose focuses on the pelvis and allows you to be open and receptive physically, emotionally, and energetically in order to accept yourself fully.

—Squat with your feet as close together as possible. (Keep your heels on the floor if you can; otherwise, support them on a folded mat.)
—Separate your thighs slightly wider than your torso. Exhaling, lean your torso forward and fit it snugly between your thighs.
—Press your elbows against your inner knees, bringing your palms to together and resist the knees into the elbows. This will help lengthen your front torso.
—To go further, press your inner thighs against the sides of your torso. Reach your arms forward, then swing them out to the sides and notch your shins into your armpits. Press your finger tips to the floor, or reach around the outside of your ankles and clasp your back heels.
–Hold the position for 30 seconds to 1 minute, then inhale, straighten the knees, and stand.
Affirmation: I accept and forgive my OUTSTANDING self.

Spending time and cultivating your creativity is such an important gift, even if it’s just 15 minutes out of your day. Art is a sacred, meditative act. The marks you make are precious and the quiet time you set aside for yourself is profound. Creativity is not about making a masterpiece, but rather simply showing up at the craft table. Do what makes you smile–whether it’s pushing paint around, cutting some paper, gluing a collage, or watching an art tutorial video. I believe this will seduce your muse out of hibernation and will also send a clear message that you are OUTSTANDINGLY worth it. You are worth your valuable time.

“To be creative means to be in love with life. You can be creative only if you love life enough that you want to enhance its beauty, you want to bring a little more music to it, a little more poetry to it, a little more dance to it.”~~Osho
