Thursday’s Swirling with the Blue Throat Chakra

Thursday’s Swirling with the Blue Throat Chakra

As Blues singer, Bob Marley says, we are all one love—the only walls of separation are created by the human ego.
When our mind is unfettered by ego’s incessant desires and judgments, it is then we can truly be free to express our real selves–

SO, let it GO….”sing a song; Sing out loud/Sing out strong/Sing of good things not bad/Sing of happy not sad….Sing, sing a song/Make it simple to last/Your whole life long/
Don’t worry that it’s not/Good enough for anyone/Else to hear/
Just sing, sing a song.” (Carpenters’ “Sing”)

Songs can be in any form: visual art, playwriting, sculpting, singing, dancing, performance arts, quilting, storytelling—any kind of communication that reveals your heart, the soul’s tune, the real You, the Universal Source from which all springs.

This is the throat chakra’s energetic function: COMMUNICATION

“What the heart center feels

the throat center may reveal

AROMAS: Lavender or Frankincense

CRYSTALS: Blue stones like Turquoise, Lapis Lazuli, Blue Lace Agate and Aquamarine if worn at the throat will be helpful to the health and balance (think no more pathetic wobbly croaking) of the throat chakra.

And SING right through the blue throat chakra in whatever way you feel like realizing the potential of your energy!!!!!!!

INTENTIONS:   Repeat often and with heart felt  positive intention

I AM discernment in all of my communications.
I know how to listen to my Heart.
I know how to listen to others.
What I say is worth listening to. I AM worth being heard.

MEDITATION: Feel your breath in your throat area. Breathe in these intentions as you say them out loud. Breathe out all arrogance, bitter anger, and resentment. Breathe in acceptance. Breathe out all rejection and closed-mindedness and all ideas that you are not heard, listened to or appreciated.
Breathe in Truth.
Breathe out Truth, Love, Forgiveness, Appreciation, Respect and Gratitude, and imagine the circulation of all of that out to all others.
As you are permitted to speak your Truth and express yourself freely as your own Divine Right, so are all others.

Express Love, Gratitude, Truth and Forgiveness

YOGA for balancing the throat chakra:

Fish Pose deals with opening the throat and spine in a way that can feel oddly vulnerable until you find your own expression. The same applies to communicating honestly with yourself and others. In the beginning it can be uncomfortable until you find your own genuine voice. Then, it is liberating.

Start by laying flat on your back and relaxing as long as you need (corpse pose)
Staying flat on your back, bring your feet together. With your arms straight by your sides, lay your palms on the floor, then tuck your hands in underneath your buttocks. Arch your spine, tilt your head backwards so that your crown rests on the ground. Hold for 30 seconds. To come out of the Fish, slide your head back and then lower your chest. To finish, relax by lying in the Corpse.

See YALL Later: Throughout the day be mindful of blue colors to ponder on, look up at the wonder of the blue sky, crack the waiting walls of the ego and remind yourself that you are so very precious, energized and worth being heard.

Namaste,

Priscilla

Violet Crown Chakra Saturday

Saturday correlates with the Violet colored energy center known as the crown chakra —it relates to consciousness as pure awareness. It is our connection to the greater world beyond, to a timeless, spaceless place of all-knowing. When developed, this chakra brings us knowledge, wisdom, understanding, spiritual connection, and bliss.

It’s POTENTIAL qualities: grace, beauty, serenity, oneness with all that is
Life Issues: selfless realization of your indelible connection with the greater whole of life and creation of a vital and resilient spiritual context for holding your life experiences

Positive: The Guru–Gurus are people who realize who they are. They know that the divine force flows through them and they are identified with that as the substratum of their being, rather than the temporal parts of their life. They let life move through them and take them ever deeper into consciousness itself.

Negative: The Egotist—-Egotists are people who think their efforts alone carry them through life. They believe that they are separate from a greater whole of existence and that their striving and effort controls the outcome of their life.

LET GO of the EGO.  Join up with the UNIVERSAL FORCES and let the force be with you as you expand your Violet crown Chakra:

AFFIRMATIONS:

“I connect easily with spirit”
“I am sure of my inner knowing”
“My experience is abundant”
“I am pure light and love”

SOUNDS: Meditation Music for Crown Chakra of your choosing; or iTunes:A Guided Visualization “Shifting Perspective and Awakening to Oneness”–Crown Chakra; or the Tina Turner chants linked below

CRYSTALS:Selenite is by far one of the most powerful and one of the highest vibrational stones existing on our planet at this time. Selenite Cleansing Stone has ability, given your intentions, to unblock stagnant energy and remove negative energy (from Muse Jewelry on Pinterest.)

Endow the stones, aromas and sounds with your positive affirmations:

“I connect easily with spirit”
“I am sure of my inner knowing”
“My experience is abundant”
“I am pure light and love”

AROMAS:  Frankincense and sandalwood are probably the two essential oils most frequently identified with the crown chakra. Both promote meditative states, encourage higher states of consciousness, expand the crown chakra, support spiritual connection and growth. Sandalwood encourages astral projection. Frankincense expands the aura and helps awaken one’s spiritual or soul purpose. Frankincense also works on physical manifestations of crown chakra dysfunction such as anxiety, restlessness, nervous tension and stress-related conditions.

DIFFUSING-It is pleasant to have homemade essential oil diffusers in various places in your environment  to infuse your space with a continuous and subtle scent.  Many  packaged diffusers often contain unnatural ingredients that we don’t necessarily want diffused around the house along with the scent. To skip the unwanted ingredients and the expense, try making your own oil diffuser using an essential oil of your choosing. Or, experiment with combining oils for a highly-personalized scent — just be sure to test out the combination by adding a drop or two of each of the oils to a cotton ball to make sure the blend is appealing to you.

You will need a container with a wide base and a small opening , as it will discourage evaporation; reeds (health, online or craft stores  carry reeds); Safflower or Mineral oil (Mineral oil less viscous than vegetable oil and is better at carrying the scent up the reeds); Plain  unflavored, nondiluted vodka( helps thin out the oil so that it will move more easily up the reeds); Essential oil(s).
Pour one-quarter cup mineral oil and two tablespoons vodka into a measuring cup and stir well to combine the liquids.  Add in one and one-half tablespoons of essential oil (the ratio should be about one part essential oil to four parts mineral oil and vodka).
Stir well and pour the oil mixture into your container. Insert as many reeds as will fit into the opening.
Flip the reeds every few days to optimize the scent diffusion.  Each time you you are mindful of the scent repeat an affirmation: “I AM….”

image    “Nam Myoho Renge Kyo” by Joyce Devibe Ft. OceanaHeart

MEDITATION:  Sitting in half lotus or Full Lotus position chant **Nam-myoho-renge-kyo**
The purpose of chanting this phrase is to attain perfect and complete awakening (enlightenment).

Nam Myōhō Renge Kyō, represents devotion or conviction in the Mystic Law of Life, God, or Universal Source.    Some followers of Buddhism also consider Myōhō Renge Kyō to be the name of the ultimate law permeating the universe.
Broken down, Myōhō Renge Kyō consists of Myōhō (妙法), “sublime,” “unfathomable” or “mystic” law

YOGA
As we move up the ladder, the higher chakras are more affected by mediation and inner work rather than physical work, but here are two basic asanas, or poses:

Tree Pose: Start with Mountain pose, keep the feet hip width apart. Extend your spine tall and fix your gaze forward at a focal point. Breathe in and lift the right leg and place the sole of your right foot on the left leg, inner thigh. The heel of the right leg should touch the perineum otherwise, can rest on the thigh, or even on the calf initially. Lifting the torso upwards, take a deep breath & raise the arms up, joining the hands in Namaste mudra. If you can, take your gaze upwards towards the ceiling. Stay here for 5 to 7 breaths and repeat on the other side. Why to: A restorative and a balancing pose, the position of the arms and gaze taps into the energies of the crown chakra. The position of the body, works from root to the tip of the head, by aligning the chakras in a string. Also, rejuvenating the mind, it strengths the whole body.

Corpse Pose How to: Lying on your back, lift your pelvis and slide your tailbone away to comfortably spread your lower back. Keep just a light, natural arch to your lower back. Rest your pelvis on the ground. Place both the feet and the arms 3 to 4 feet apart with palms facing the ceiling. For extended support one can place a yoga blanket, cushion or pillow underneath the calves to relax the lower back. Now, close your eyes and take a slow deep breath. As you exhale, let your body relax and sink into the floor. Maintain stillness as you relax and quiet the mind. Completely loosen the whole body, like your body is sinking in the floor. Stay here for as long as you like. Why to: This pose gets its name from the posture of a dead body. It requires the stillness of a corpse, which makes it a challenging one. It helps in the repair of tissues and cells and in releasing stress. Savasana helps to calm and balance the crown chakra.

SEE YALL LATER:
Constantly regard the universe as one living being, having one substance and one soul; and observe how all things have reference to one perception, the perception of this one living being; and how all things act with one movement; and how all things are the cooperating causes of all things that exist; observe too the continuous spinning of the thread and the structure of the web:–Marcus Aurelius

All Day send out the vibration of ‘Nam myoho renge kyo’ to intensify your connection to the Universe.

NAMASTE,                                                                                                                                                                     Priscilla

Blue Throat Chakra Thursday

The fifth chakra, called visuddha, is located at the throat. “Visuddha” , in Sanskrit, means very pure or purification.
Visuddha chakra is associated with ether, the spirit. “You can conceptualize it as a spaciousness around your throat and neck through which profound spiritual truths can flow. The purification aspect implies that in order to fully tap into the power of the visuddha chakra you need to have done a certain amount of work in the other energy centers. In other words, have you addressed the issues associated with chakras 1–4 yet? This will increase your understanding and sensitivity, which will in turn gain you deeper access to the gifts of the more subtle upper chakras.
This energy center is associated with your voice. It relates to your ability to speak your truth, express ideas clearly, truthfully, and gracefully, and become harmoniously attuned to both inner and outer vibrations. ”                                                                                                When the swirling blue potential energy of the throat chakra is out of alignment, you may feel like you don’t know how to ask for what you need and feel unable to shape the world you want to create. Poor communication is the result.
The visuddha chakra bridges the heart and the mind. When that space is clear, it integrates the wisdom of both, allowing profound spiritual truths to flow freely. You will be able to effectively communicate your needs, desires, creative ideas, boundaries, empathy, and love.” (From    YOGA JOURNAL YOGA 101 CHAKRAS,  BY STEPHANIE SNYDER | JAN 19, 2015   “Introduction of Throat Chakra)

SOUNDS: Soft Throat Chakra sounds.  One I found was (Almost) Instant Throat Chakra Healing Meditation | 192Hz Frequency Vibrations and Music

MEDITATE  quietly and silently for awhile then Open your visuddha chakra by creating spaciousness around the throat and neck through which profound spiritual truths can flow.
One of the easiest ways to connect with your visuddha energy is to chant. Take a comfortable seat. Softly close your eyes and lips. Relax your face and jaw. Begin to make the sound “mmmmmmmm” at whatever resonant tone is natural for you. Feel the vibration all around the tongue, lips, cheeks, jaw, ears, and throat. Imagine this sound vibrating loose any tension in the throat neck and jaw region. Letting go of the times you have had to bite your tongue or have had a lump in your throat from the fear of speaking up. Feel the vibration purifying and freeing your visuddha energy.

Now set your intention for this practice. To grease the wheels, here are some themes that relate to the fifth chakra: Communicating clearly, honestly, and with compassion; releasing fear of speaking up for yourself or for others; being a good listener; learning not to overtalk or dominate conversations; refraining from gossip. Feel free to use any of these or choose your own. As long as your intention feels true for you it has value.

Neck Release
From a comfortable seated position, extend your spine long and root down into your foundation. Reach your right arm out to the right. Gently begin to release your head and let it hang to the right. Drag your right shoulder and shoulder blade down to create a stable foundation. Now extend your left arm out about 6 inches above the floor and reach out and down to create some traction and a big stretch on the left side of the neck. Spend 5–10 breaths here. Be patient. It takes time for the blood to move through and heal tight and stiff muscle tissue, so try to hold for as long as you can without pain. Make sure your breath is deep and slow and your eyes and jaw remain relaxed. Gently return to center, pause for a moment, and notice the difference, then switch sides.

Seated Cat-Cow
In cross-legged seated position, bring your hands to your knees for leverage. As you inhale, arch your spine forward and gaze up, creating a backbend shape in the spine in a seated variation of Cow Pose (Bitliasana). As you exhale, pull the navel back toward the spine, hollowing front body in a seated variation of Cat Pose (Marjaryasana). As you inhale, head and tail move back and as you exhale, head and tail curl forward and in. This is a complete undulation of the spine that creates a compression and release action in the throat. Go slowly and let each movement span an entire inhalation or exhalation. Find a rhythm that feels good—fluid but not fast. Continue for 5–10 rounds.

Knees-Chest-Chin
Ashtanga Namaskar
In this pose there are eight points of contact, which are meant to represent the eight limbs of Ashtanga Yoga as outlined by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutra. The eight points are feet, hands, knees, chest, and chin. From hands and knees, begin to dip the heart toward the floor. Keeping your buttocks up high, let your chest and chin touch down. You may need to scoot your knees back a bit depending on your flexibility. The front of the throat is extremely open in this pose. Go slowly and consciously. These days we spend so much time using devices that keep our chin stuck to our chest that this pose can be very intense. Spend 3 breaths here and then rest.

image

Fish Pose
Matsyendrasana
To come into Fish Pose, begin lying flat on your back. Walk your hands under your sitting bones with palms face down. Squeeze the arms as close together as you can. Draw shoulder blades toward each other underneath you and pause. Notice how wide open the chest is already here. Moving from the back of the heart, begin to press into your elbows and lift the chest. Rest the top of your head lightly on the floor. Avoid both hanging and putting too much weight on the head. Press down through legs, hands, and elbows to keep your neck supported. Let your heart and throat open. Hold this pose for 5 breaths and then rest.

Throat Chakra Chant + Meditation
Now that you have spent some time connecting with the fifth chakra through asana breath, and intention, please have a comfortable cross-legged seat. Keeping your eyes closed, begin to chant the bija mantra for visuddha chakra which is HAM. You may either chant it out loud or silently to yourself. Think of this mantra as a code. As you chant, the code begins to unpack itself and reveal to you the sacred intelligence of the fifth chakra energy center. As you chant this word HAM, try to sense the vibration of the sound all around the throat and neck. Feel free to experiment with pace and volume and chant in a way that resonates with you. Spend at least 2 minutes with your chant, more if you like.

Corpse Pose
Savasana
When you finish chanting, lie back in Savasana and consciously soften around the throat and neck. Release all thoughts and relax into the earth as you drift into a quiet and restful repose.   Above is from  YogaJournal.com,”Throat Chakra Tune-Up Practice byStephanie Snyder “who also has a soundtrack available.

SEE YALL LATER _Hopefully you will have day mindful of the energy opening your throat to speak your truth with loving compassion.

Third Eye FRIDAY

We are energy transformers; we are alive and developing in proportion to how much of this universal energy we accept and how freely it flows through us. The  cleaner our energy vortexes (Chakras) the better we transmit this energy or allow it to flow through us and the more alive and contented and effective we become.

The SIXTH chakra is the BROW, also known as the Third Eye and is located between our brows. Our psychic abilities and imagination are associated with the chakra. Being in the flow of life is a main function of this chakra.

Symptoms of imbalances caused by negativity include headaches, blurred vision, sinus issues, moodiness, volatility, and an inability to look at ones own fears, or to learn from others.

When this chakra is balanced we feel clear, focused, and can determine between truth and illusion. We are open to receiving wisdom and insight.

SOUNDS:  Choose some Meditation Music for Brow Chakra Healing.  One I found was:heal Thyself-Third Eye Chakrad Healing Music [AJNA]-Clarinet Edition by Meditative Mind-Meditative Music

CRYSTALS:  Blue Kynite crystals  relate to the Third-Eye chakra. These can be placed on the body, kept close by or worn as jewelry to help activate, heal and balance the chakra. Crystals are highly sensitive to absorbing energy and feelings, and are therefore excellent in assisting the energy flow of the chakras. The crystals for each chakra are usually chosen for their colour and their metaphysical properties. Indigo Kyanite exudes energies that particularly stimulate the pineal gland and may activate dormant psychic abilities.   Although this stone is a high vibration crystal, it is more gentle in its vibration. You may choose to use any color of Kyanite first, before you use the specific chakra stones. Using Kyanite will bring all of the chakras into alignment.   This will assist in the general flow of energy throughout the body. It will also bridge any energy gaps which may have been caused by any form of accident or from surgery you may have had.  Repeat an intention such as “My mind is clear and agile.” and “I am open to the wisdom within me.”

AROMAS:   Frankincense EO is known to ease depression and mental anxiety. It has a warming, soothing effect on the mind so empower it with your intentions. It releases tensions and nervousness and allows for a deeper more calming breath to enter the lungs. This oil also has a psychoactive chemical called trahydrocannabinole which is known to expand consciousness, hence is widely used in meditation.

Frankincense resonates the 6th chakra which awakens higher consciousness and brings in the power of inner vision and intuition. It aligns the solar plexus chakra with the third eye to bring illumination and understanding of intellectual matters to a more enlightened awareness. It also allows for connection to the godhead, bringing in a higher frequency of integration throughout the chakra system.

MEDITATION:        Seeing clearly is usually difficult only because of fears and traumas that get in the way. And until you know what you’re afraid to see, the blockages remain. In every case, each and every one of us is intuitive by nature, even if we don’t believe it. It is only subconscious programs and negative energy that block our ability to connect with our intuition. The more we clear out of the Third Eye Chakra energy space and practice using our intuition, the more clearly we see in every way. It’s truly a gift to be able to call upon our own guidance through this life, as we can see the way to navigate through the waters of this sea that we call life on Earth. We don’t have to continue on blindfolded and limited by our five senses. There is so much more available to us if we will only “see” it.

intellect, intuition, wisdom, and spiritual insight are available to everyone — but few of us even begin to tap our profound potential. Clearing and balancing your sixth chakra can help you tap into these vast capacities.

———
Put your hands before the lower part of your breast. The middle fingers are straight and touch at the tops, pointing forward. The other fingers are bended and touch at the upper two phalanges. The thumbs point towards you and touch at the tops.
Concentrate on the Third Eye chakra slightly above the point between the eyebrows.
Chant the sound OM or AUM.

YOGA:

The life lesson for the sixth chakra is developing the ability to trust your intuition. You replace ignorance of oneself with surrender to divine guidance. You understand that you are one drop in the ocean; you are part of the whole. Your intuition is guided by your spiritual eye—the third eye, located between the eyebrows.

Pose
While in Child’s Pose, feel your third eye touching the floor and breathe into it, feeling centered and clear. Be brave. Connect with and listen to your intuition while in the pose.

Affirmation

I am connected to my intuition.

———
Thunderbolt Pose, VajrasanA-thunderbolt pose for third eye chakra balancing; imageThis super vacuum cleaner weapon is used to get rid of our most powerful enemy – the one within – our inner critic and our judgments that make us feel not good enough.

The power of this pose is observation. It is by observing thoughts and not engaging with them further that we can be released from the grip of these thoughts.
We know from quantum physics that observation impacts that which is being observed. When we simply observe in this pose, we are becoming whole again.

Sit on your heels with your spine straight and your knees about hip with apart. Rest your palms on your thighs. You can place a towel underneath your buttocks if your knees feel uncomfortable.
With your spine straight release all your weight down through your sit bones.
Breathe in and out through your nose.
Allow your spine to lengthen upwards and your shoulders release and widen.
Allow your gaze to gently rest on the floor about 4 feet in front of you.
Continue breathing and observe your thoughts. Watch them like clouds on a sunny day passing you by. Do not become engaged with the thoughts, just allow them to pass by.
With this pose, you are cultivating “witness” consciousness or being the “detached observer”. You do not engage with your thoughts, you simply allow them to pass by as if you were watching clouds drift away on a sunny day.
The effects of cultivating this ability to observe your thoughts and not be engaged in the story, are amazing. You will find having more compassion for yourself, you will begin to see patterns of behavior that do not serve you and you will be able to gradually change these patterns. You will experience greater unity with others and the world around you. You will experience greater peace, inner knowing, and joy.

See YA LATER:  OSHO, Chapter 4: The Transformative Power of Idols:…tells of the ’tilak’, and that the science of yoga has found the third-eye, which is between the two eyebrows, to have great power stored in it-it is a great transmitter.  If you ask someone to do something, and you feel they may refuse, you can  conduct a small experiment.  If you concentrate your energy on the center between your two eyes and tell them what you want them to do, nine times out of ten they will do it.  But if you ask them without concentrating your energy that way, nine times out of ten they will not.  Any idea or thought conveyed with the energy concentrated between the two eyes moves rapidly, and carries with it great power.”

Sounds like fun experiment for today.
