HEART Wednesday: Think Spring Green Clean

The HEART Chakra , resonating with Wednesdays, the Spring Equinox, element of Air, and LOVE is located in the center of the chest,  and it vibrates the heart, thymus gland and lungs at a frequency of 136.10 Hz.
Within our Heart Chakra, we can raise our consciousness through the power of love or lower our consciousness through fear.                                                                                                                                                                       The Heart Chakra presides over our relationships, our perception of love, and our ability to give and receive it, with others and with ourselves and with our Higher Self.                                                                        We are cleaned the energy doorways of our Base Chakra, our Sacral Chakra and our Solar Plexus Chakra and now we are at the middle Chakra.   Spring cleaning the Heart Chakra is about FORGIVENESS.      Forgiveness is wonderful for the person(s) you forgive, but even more so, it is for  you.   Forgiving means that you no longer allow the person or situation you have perceived as causing you pain to hold any power over you.  Perhaps you cannot forgive a specific person or event – but the part of yourself that you judged as weak and victimized is who needs your forgiveness.  Allow yourself to acknowledge and feel the pain without judging or resisting it.  Accept it and then integrate it.  It happened, and you learned something from it.  You’ll find that forgiveness of the person or situation will happen naturally when you can forgive yourself first.  Forgiveness is true freedom, and it opens up the Heart Chakra to feel the Love that you truly are.

MEDITATION:  To Harmonize with the powerful emotion of love, allow your heart to connect to the beat of the hearts of those around you and guide you as  you join the tips of your thumb and index finger on both hands .  The other three fingers should be joined and stretched straight up together. Rest each hand on its corresponding knee. You can also hold either or both of your hands in this position over your heart. Repeat the chant ‘YAM’ (Yaaaaaaa-uummmmmmm) with love and compassion filling the air, your surroundings and all the world .

Now sit comfortably or lie down with your spine straight. Close your eyes and take a deep breath. Take a deep inhalation, and on the exhale hug your arms around your body. Give yourself a squeeze. As you exhale, release your arms and feel yourself open, yet connected to the earth. Lift your chin slightly and position yourself as if your heart were to lead you in all things. As you continue to breathe, imagine that you are emptying yourself completely. You are letting everything flow out of you with your breath. In the space between the exhale and the inhale, there is a slow, steady rhythm. This rhythm stays with you and guides you as you move through each breath. Focus for a moment on the rhythm, which is the beating of your heart. Each pulse pumps life through your body. Feel the vitality increase as you focus on this steady, subtle, internal music. Hearing this sound fills you with an effortless grace. It reminds you of all that is beautiful, all that is lovely, all that is joyful. This rhythm is what allows you to harmonize with the world around you – connecting you in ways you haven’t even begun to imagine. In this state, imagine each pulse of your heart sending a course of love energy through your body. On your next inhalation, fill your entire body with love and let it course through you. With each beat of your heart, love grows and hums until its rhythm becomes a steady, resounding song that carries you throughout the rest of your day.

Repeat: “I listen to my heart and honor its connection to the hearts of others. I allow love to fill me up and guide me in all of my actions. I gracefully move to the rhythm of life.”

Continue to let this feeling flow and deepen with each breath. When you feel ready, open your eyes and move with love and motion through yoga practice and the rest of your day.

Be mindful of your beating heart………

Mindfulness is the only intentional, systematic activity that is not about trying to improve yourself or get anywhere else, explains Kabat-Zinn. It is simply a matter of realizing where you already are. A cartoon from The New Yorker sums it up: Two monks are sitting side by side, meditating. The younger one is giving the older one a quizzical look, to which the older one responds, “Nothing happens next. This is it.”

You can become mindful at any moment just by paying attention to your immediate experience. You can do it right now–with a awareness of of your swirling green heart chakra—What’s happening this instant? Think of yourself as an eternal witness, and just observe the moment. What do you see, hear, smell? It doesn’t matter how it feels—pleasant or unpleasant, good or bad—you roll with it because it’s what’s present; you’re not judging it. And if you notice your mind wandering, bring yourself back. Just say to yourself, “Now. Now. Now.”

Sense the beat of your heart
Here’s the most fundamental paradox of all: Mindfulness isn’t a goal, because goals are about the future, but you do have to set the intention of paying attention to what’s happening at the present moment. As you read the words printed on this page, as your eyes distinguish the black squiggles on white paper, as you feel gravity anchoring you to the planet, wake up. Become aware of being alive. Feel your beating heart. And breathe. As you draw your next breath, focus on the rise of your abdomen on the in-breath, the stream of heat through your nostrils on the out-breath, the beating of your heart. If you’re aware of that feeling right now, as you’re reading this, you’re living in the moment. Nothing happens next. It’s not a destination. This is it. You’re already there.

Heart Chakra is  swirling spring green and connected with the element of air so we have air dispersing and integrating spiritual understanding of love, compassion, and connection to everything we encounter. Air, like love, is within and all around.

Our intention today can be to broadcast unconditional love far and wide, far and wide, There is love cast far and wide……

Yoga:
Be seated. Close your eyes and turn your attention inward toward your heart. Be still and quiet and take this time to witness your innermost self. Drop down beneath the mind chatter into the cave of your heart and listen there for the inner voice. It takes practice to get quiet enough and willing enough to connect this deeply with your true self. So do not be discouraged if this seems challenging—it is! Through regular practice of listening in, you will slowly be able to tell the difference between the inner voice of your heart and the neurotic chatter of the mind. Over time you will be able to observe both. This inner listening cultivates a discrimination. Discrimination supports skillful choices, which lead you toward your heart’s calling, your purpose. The result is bringing compassion and love into all you do.

As a preparatory practice bring your hands to prayer pose at the heart and begin to lightly tap the sternum with the thumbs. Let it be a rhythmic and gentle tap. As you are tapping keep the spine long and the heart open. This is a great way to stimulate the heart energy. Spend at least 2 minutes tapping, more if you like. When you are done release your hands to your lap and take a moment to feel the resonant vibration at the heart.

From Downward-Facing Dog , step your right foot forward. Gently release your left knee to the floor and reach the arms up into a Low Lunge. Square your hips toward the front end of your mat. Bring your left hand to your left hip, reaching your right arm up. You may stay here or slide your left hand down the inner left leg as your curl your spine back, in, and up to open the heart into a deeper backbend. Next, actively press your left hand into your inner right leg and as the leg and hand resist each other you will feel stronger and avoid sinking into the low back. Isometrically, hug your left knee and right foot in toward each other, this will lift the pelvic floor and help you draw your low belly in and up. Finally press down through your right foot and let the heart fly up a little more. Spend 5 breaths here. change sides

THE MEDITATION

Quiet your mind by breathing deeply into your heart chakra. Concentrate on your breathing and let the cares and worries of the day flow out of your mind like water in a stream. Take any large worry or anxiety and toss it gently into the stream so that the Water of Life can carry it away. Take on the calmness of a quiet pool.

Continue to breathe into your heart chakra. Breathe deeply and exhale completely. Feel the life-giving air invigorating and rejuvenating your heart chakra. Feel the life and spirit in your heart chakra. Become one with the air you breathe and the act of breathing. Become one with your heart chakra.

When you are thoroughly one with your heart chakra, breathe into both your third and your fifth chakras–your solar plexus and your throat. Feel the expansion of the area into which you are breathing, but remain aware of your heart chakra at the center. Know that each breath is invigorating and rejuvenating every part of your body between your solar plexus and your throat. Feel the life and spirit in your body between your solar plexus and your throat. Become one with your body between your solar plexus and your throat.

When you are thoroughly one with your body between your solar plexus and your throat, breathe into both your second and sixth chakras–your spleen and your brow. Feel the expansion of the area into which you are breathing, but remain aware of your heart chakra at the center. Know that each breath is invigorating and rejuvenating every part of your body between your spleen and your brow. Feel the life and spirit in your body between your spleen and your brow. Become one with your body between your spleen and your brow.

When you are thoroughly one with your body between your spleen and your brow, breathe into both your first and seventh chakras–the base of your spine and the crown of your head. Feel the expansion of the area into which you are breathing, but remain aware of your heart chakra at the center. Know that each breath is invigorating and rejuvenating every part of your body between the base of your spine and the crown of your head. Feel the life and spirit in your body between the base of your spine and the crown of your head. Become one with your body between the base of your spine and the crown of your head.

When you are thoroughly one with your body between the base of your spine and the crown of your head, breathe into the ground directly beneath you and the air directly above you. Feel the expansion of the area into which you are breathing, but remain aware of your heart chakra at the center. Know that each breath is connecting your heart chakra with the ground directly beneath you and the air directly above you. Feel the life and spirit in everything between the ground directly beneath you and the air directly above you. Become one with everything between the ground directly beneath you and the air directly above you.

When you are thoroughly one with the ground directly beneath you and the air directly above you, breathe deeper into the ground and higher into the air. Feel the expansion of the area into which you are breathing, but remain aware of your heart chakra at the center. Know that each breath is connecting your heart chakra with Mother Earth and Father Sky. Feel the life and spirit in Mother Earth and Father Sky. Become one with everything between Mother Earth and Father Sky.

When you are thoroughly one with Mother Earth and Father Sky, breathe into the center of the Earth and the center of the universe. Feel the expansion of the area into which you are breathing, but remain aware of your heart chakra at the center. Know that each breath is connecting your heart chakra with the center of the Earth and the center of the Universe. Feel the life and spirit in everything from the center of the Earth to the center of the Universe. Become one with everything from the center of the Earth to the center of the Universe.

When you are thoroughly one with everything from the center of the Earth to the center of the Universe, breathe into the molecules that compose the center of the Earth and the distance that composes the edge of the Universe. Feel the expansion of the area into which you are breathing, but remain aware of your heart chakra at the center. Know that each breath is connecting your heart chakra with the molecules at the center of the Earth and the distances at the edge of the Universe. Feel the life and spirit in everything between the molecules at the center of the Earth and the distances at the edge of the Universe. Become one with everything from the molecules at the center of the Earth to the distances at the edge of the Universe.

When you have finished, gently return to the present. Bring your consciousness back to the subatomic particles that compose the molecules at the center of the Earth and the distances that stretch beyond the edge of the Universe. Bring your consciousness back to the molecules at the center of the Earth and the distances at the edge of the Universe. Bring your consciousness back to everything from the center of the Earth to the center of the Universe. Bring your consciousness back to Mother Earth and Father Sky. Bring your consciousness back to the ground directly beneath you and the air directly above you. Bring your consciousness back to your body between the base of your spine and the crown of your head. Bring your consciousness back to your body between your spleen and your brow. Bring your consciousness back to your body between your solar plexus and your throat. Bring your consciousness back to your heart chakra. Feel the difference in the size of your heart chakra. Feel the connection between your heart chakra and the Love That Is All There Is. Bring your consciousness back to the air you are breathing and the act of breathing. Return your consciousness to your mind. Open your eyes and smile.
