Integrative Solar Plexus Tuesday

Manipura, the Solar Plexus Chakra, is also known as the power chakra. It is symbolized by a lotus with ten petals and it relates to the color yellow. The Manipura rules personal power, will and autonomy. It is the center where personality & identity is formed and emotions, intuition and psychic energies are integrated into the self.

The Manipura is the center of your self-esteem, your willpower and self-discipline, as well as warmth in your personality.

It is all about who YOU are.

If you allow thoughts of what others thought, or think, dominate, you will not realize your full sense of personal power.  Thoughts of what others have expressed or you think they think are negatives that not only affect your true  power but your physical health as well.

The solar plexus chakra  vibrates in your pancreas and is associated with digestion.

Emotional imbalances include issues of personal power and self-esteem and allowing our inner critic to surface.  Fears of rejection, criticism and physical appearances come to the forefront.

When this chakra is balanced, we feel self-respect, self-love and self-compassion. We feel in control, assertive and confident.  Discard any thoughts of wondering if you are an ole poop and KNOW you are powerful, self-disciplined and delightful in everyway!    Let go of any wonder of what anyone else might be thinking about you.  Just LET IT GO!  Integrate POSITIVE thoughts about yourself and feel the glowing energy of your bright yellow solar plexus chakra.

AROMAS:  Mugwort

MugwortSounds a wee bit witchy which is why I find it delightful.  It is Artemsia vulgaria in the plant taxonomy world. Its name is thought to derive from the Old English mucg wyrt, meaning “marsh plant”, a reference to mugwort’s swampy native habitat. St. John the Baptist wore a girdle of Mugwort when he went into the wilderness. Roman soldiers planted mugwort by the roadside so that weary passersby could stuff the herbage into their shoes to relieve aching feet.

The Essential oil steam extracted from the leaves and flower buds is a yellow-orange mobile liquid with a blue-violet tinge and an intensely sweet, almost floral citrus scent. It blends well with citrus oils, especially neroli (also vibrationally in tune with the Solar plexus), and with spice oils such as nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove. for your own personal blend to wear on Tuesday start by mixing 10 drops of Mugwort, 5 drops of cinnamon and 5 drops of neroli.  If you find that to your liking, mix it in a  roll-on bottle nearly filled with a carrier oil such as fractionated coconut oil, or jojoba and roll away.  It is easy to adjust the mix to your individual taste by altering the proportions.  I like the mix multiplied to fill a 5ml bottle for my diffuser.

Roll it on your belly: The Essential Oil of Mugwort is very efficient in curing digestive disorders that result from an abnormal flow of digestive juices or due to microbial infections. It regulates or stimulates the flow of digestive juices to facilitate digestion, along with inhibiting microbial infections in the stomach and the intestines to cure digestive disorders.   Mugwort, applied to the skin, which is somewhat permeable, is absorbed into the blood stream. Some areas of skin (under arms, head, palms, soles of feet, etc.) are more permeable than others. Warming or massaging the skin may also increase absorbency. Essential oils are most often applied to the skin along with a carrier oil such as coconut or olive oil.

DO NOT DRINK THIS

Alice in Wonderland with drink me   Instead SNIFF, RUB or DIFFUSE:  When you smell an essential oil, cilia and receptor cells in the olfactory organ receive the aroma and send signals to the limbic system of the brain, which is the center of memory and emotion. It also is connected to areas of the brain that control blood pressure, heart rate, breathing, hormone balance, and more. When Mugwort and other essential oils are inhaled, droplets of the oil are absorbed by the lungs. They can be inhaled by diffusing them in a special essential oil diffuser, a scent pod, humidifier, in a boiling pot of water, or simply by smelling the bottle of oil. The effectiveness of each of these delivery methods varies. An essential oil diffuser is expensive but seems to be the best method of inhalation.

Oh, thinking of Integration, I also found that Mugwort is also used to improve concentration and memory, particularly when mixed with essential oils of rosemary and sage.

CRYSTALS: Our solar plexus chakra resonates to yellow and gold shades  as well as to the light yellowish green stones. One of these greenish stones is Peridot, in a lovely lime green color.   Peridot’s energy vibrates to the frequency of increase so it is a powerful stone to manifest anything that you wish to bring into your life—like INTEGRATION—-just sayin’.

The stone does not have to be large, as even small ones have the same vibration.

MEDITATION: OSHO on INTEGRATION

“Man ordinarily is a crowd. No man ordinarily is one, but many. And that´s why there is so much noise within – many voices, many faces – and a constant quarrel. One part wants to do one thing. Another part is simply against it and wants to do something else. It is a miracle how we go on managing to keep ourselves together. Otherwise we are constantly falling apart. There is no center. The master is missing.

There are only servants, and each servant is trying to claim masterhood. For a moment each servant sits on the throne, proclaims himself the master, and in that moment you think, “This is the master.” When there is anger, anger becomes the master, but soon it will be gone. It is a constantly changing scene. After anger comes regret. Then regret is the master and you feel sorry. Sometimes it is love, sometimes it is hate, and the scenes change so fast. Still you do not become aware that you cannot be so many things. We become identified with anything that comes in front of us. When the cloud of anger is there we think we are anger. When the cloud of love is there we think we are love. When compassion is there we think we are compassion. When sadness is there we think we are sadness.

We are none of these – we are the watcher! Anger will come and go and the watcher abides. Sadness comes and passes by and the witness remains. To remember that witness more and more will make you integrated, because that is the only center which is everlasting, eternal. Only on the eternal rock of witnessing can a real life be built.”I from Osho, The Madman’s Guide to Enlightenment, Talk #30)

MEDITATION is witnessing.   Let all thoughts pass as clouds in the sky.  Do not engage.  Be the witness for as long as possible as you integrate mind and spirit in a whirling pool of golden light..

YOGA:

The doctrines behind the practice of yoga, whatever be their background and theoretical foundation, come to almost a unanimous conclusion that the novel adventure known as yoga is indispensable in the life of a human being, and it principally consists in what may be called ‘integration of being’. Now, this suggestion that one’s being has to be integrated, implies that the final aim of the ‘being’ of anything or anyone is the enhancement of that very ‘being’ itself, a sort of augmenting of the ‘being’ of one’s own self in such a way that the achievement of integration leaves nothing left over as something yet to be achieved, known, contacted, realized, or experienced.

Yoga considers that there are larger dimensions of integration, areas of contact which have not yet been explored by our present little integration of individuality; and the existence of such larger dimensions of a wider form of integration is what keeps us restless from birth to death. The satisfactions with which we are acquainted in life are the consequence of a little bit of integration that we have achieved. By ‘integration‘ we are to understand a sort of harmony that obtains between ourselves and anything with which we are connected, in whatever manner that connection be. Our satisfactions, our joys, and our securities are direct results of this harmony which seems to be there obtaining between ourselves and the outer atmosphere – call it social, or anything else – and also within our own selves in the layers of our own personality. This is why we are satisfied.

But we are also dissatisfied. The dissatisfaction in life is the other side of the fact of our existence, which arises on account of there being something more to be achieved than what we have apparently achieved in our life. What we seem to have achieved is the source of our joy, and what we have not achieved is the cause of our unhappiness.(from An Integration of Consciousness by Swami Krishnananda)

————Pose:In the beginning, yoga poses sometimes seem to be all about body parts. Postures are like puzzles, and figuring out how to position the arms, legs, hips, and shoulders is enough of a challenge to keep us focused and engaged. A sense of satisfaction arises simply from discovering how all of these parts fit together.

As our practice evolves, though, yoga takes on a richer flavor. Feelings of integration develop as we begin to sense deeper connections among our poses, as well as in various aspects of our lives. We feel less like a machine made up of fragmented body parts and more like a wholesome, authentic, and expressive creature. We begin to move and breathe with a satisfying sense of harmony and accord. And this invites grace and beauty to reveal themselves in even the simplest of our daily tasks.

One of the most magnificent of all yoga postures, Virabhadrasana I (Warrior Pose I) provides a perfect opportunity to explore this rewarding sense of integration and unity within. Both earthy and exhilarating, this asana cultivates balance, agility, and coordination. It also invites deep concentration, encouraging the scattered pieces of our selves to become transformed into a tranquil vessel for the heartfelt expression of life. Who wouldn’t say yes to the chance to feel harmonious and at ease in their skin at least once every day?

See BEYOND illusions with YOUR Third Eye Energy

The sixth chakra, our third-eye, has the potential energy to open up our ability to trust our intuition, to allow ourselves to ‘see’ beyond the evident and trust our ‘visions’. The swirling indigo energy between our brow has the potential to allow life energy–prana-chi-Universal Source, God –to be the wind beneath our wings.

image           image From Pinterest and Tumblr.com

So much of our lives depend upon our Third Eye Chakra being clear and balanced
because we create our realities based on our thoughts,
and our thoughts are often visual in nature.
Everything we imagine,
all our hopes, dreams, goals,
visions and aspirations
are all part of our Third Eye Chakra.
If we are “seeing” beautiful versions of our lives,
then that is what we create.
If we are seeing fearful worrisome situations,
then that is what we tend to manifest…….

When we are mindful of the absolute correlation between what we have been thinking and feeling—and what is manifesting in our life experience—we will be more aware of the stimulation of our own thoughts.

All of us are connected to the limitless power and most of us aren’t using but a fraction of it!!

I AM is a positive vibration, not I wish I was…..
Repeat these affirmations once every morning and once every evening when you wish to access your Brow Chakra. Use ‘I am’ as your positive affirmations as that is a vibration:

I THINK THE VERY BEST OF MY SELF IN ALL SITUATIONS, AT ALL TIMES.

I open myself to know my inner guidance and deepest wisdom.

I align my consciousness with the source of all life.

I AM unlimited in my capacity for joy, healing and happiness.

I release and forgive the past.

I open myself to new energy, new people, places and experiences.

I live in the light of my truth and I accept what I know.

I know I AM full of the Universal Source of grace, light and love.

I AM the source of truth and love in my life
As I tap into my inner wisdom, I know that all is well in my world.

AROMAS: Mugwort–aka Artemesia Vulgaria’s essence has the potential–if given your positive intentions, to stimulate the third eye chakra while opening the soul to a wider consciousness. Mugwort essence may drive stagnant energy out of the psychic body.

MEDITATION

Begin meditating by sitting in a place where you feel comfortable and safe to explore your inner reality. You can light a candle or burn incense if you choose. Begin to relax by letting your eyes sink deep into your skull and let your tongue relax in your throat. Release tension in your jaw by relaxing your chin, and let your shoulders drop as you take several deep, relaxing breaths. The more you can attune your attention to your breath, the easier it is to slip into a meditational state where the mind is still and you experience peace all around you. When you feel receptive, begin the meditation for the Brow Chakra. It is designed to activate the qualities of wisdom, knowledge, intuition, discernment and imagination. It will help you to focus on the truth of your experiences and put you more deeply in touch your own true nature. As you relax, visualize a large, indigo blue, five-pointed star. Locate this in your Brow Chakra, between your eyebrows. Expand the form and intensify the colour.

Go through each one of the five points and designate them as wisdom, discernment, imagination, intuition and knowledge. Feel the flow of energy move through each one of the points. It will expand the chakra and open you mind to developing these qualities within yourself. You can reflect on each one of these qualities by itself and visualize how it would manifest in your life. For instance, how would wisdom help you in a particular situation? How would you use discernment if you could develop it? What would you know if you allowed your intuition to guide you? What type of knowledge would help you through a difficult time? How would you imagine your life in five years’ time?

Allow the light from this star to expand and fill your entire head with a soft light that permeates your interior space. This is the light of consciousness which will bring you peace of mind and inner knowing. It is the light of truth, which expresses your deepest longing for oneness, love and beauty.

Let this light fill the dark recesses of your mind as you allow it to expand and fill you. See the beautiful, rich blue light fill your eyes, ears, nose and mouth and cover your entire face and skull. See that light filling your head and cooling off any agitated emotions or sense of frustration you may be feeling. Allow this light to run through every nerve ending in your brain and cool you off and give you a deep sense of balance and well-being. Give yourself permission to sit quietly and explore this light of consciousness for several minutes. Are there images that come to your awareness, or words? If they repeat themselves they may hold an important message for you. If any images appear in your mind’s eye while you are meditating, allow them to be there; simply notice them and give them space. As you practice this meditation it will become easier to focus your attention and concentrate on this inner light.

When you are ready to complete this meditation, visualize a cross of light within a circle of light sealing and protecting the Brow Chakra. This will seal in the energy that you have opened up from practicing this meditation As you practice more often, you will find your mind is clear and receptive to ideas that can support you in your life development. You will feel restored and calm after doing this for a few minutes daily
