#4. Swirling Spring Green Heart Chakra

The FOURTH chakra is the HEART, located in the center of your chest. Love, compassion, unconditional love is here. Emotional issues found here are grief, relationship problems, and love. The HEART vibrates to the key of F (Fa on the scale) and is associated with the color GREEN. It is in the thymus and is associated with the immune system

Sounds: For Meditation Music and delicious flower images :  Heart Meditation by Will Senior

Fragrance:  Diffuse Melissa EO or Rose, wear Rose EO ( I mix a few drops of the Rose EO with regular body lotion in the mornings and enjoy the lingering fragrance  most of the day)

Crystals: Rose Quartz

Rose Quartz is the stone of unconditional love. One of the most important stones for Heart Chakra work, Rose Quartz opens the heart to all types of love – love of self, love of family, love of friends, romantic love. Because it is a type of quartz, Rose Quartz does have a high energy, but its vibe is also calming and soothing.

Heart Chakra, Anahata for Sanskrit aficionados, is associated with air. If you’ve worked with the other chakras, you can integrate all of the elements to support this work. The first chakra is earth, steady and grounded; the second chakra, water, brings a fertile creativity; the third chakra is the “fire in the belly” required to transform that grounded creativity into positive action. And now you have air dispersing and integrating spiritual understanding of love, compassion, and connection to everything you encounter. Air, like love, is within and all around

Through awareness we have the ability to transmit our own energy field, our individual unit of power. Humans are energy transformers; we are alive and developing in proportion to how much of this universal energy we accept and how freely it flows through us. The better we transmit this energy or allow it to flow through us the more alive and contented and effective we become

Intentions:  If your intention is to transmit your unconditional, non-controlling  love to yourself and throughout your environment and the universe then you may want to meditate  to strengthen this power surge.  Empower your crystals and fragrance with your intention for the most effectiveness.  Make it (your intention)’simple to last your whole day through.’ Just sing it , sing out strong.  LOVE yourself.

Yoga:  Why do we practice? To understand the essence of the Self, to unpack the layers of this Truth. There is no end, just as there is no beginning. Every breath, every muscular integration, each moment of physical and mental connection opens new channels towards understanding. We practice to become intimate with our nature. From there, all else becomes more easeful. (Shira Atkins)

Low Lunge. From Downward-Facing Dog , step your right foot forward. Gently release your left knee to the floor and reach the arms up into a Low Lunge. Square your hips toward the front end of your mat. Bring your left hand to your left hip, reaching your right arm up. You may stay here or slide your left hand down the inner left leg as your curl your spine back, in, and up to open the heart into a deeper backbend. Next, actively press your left hand into your inner right leg and as the leg and hand resist each other you will feel stronger and avoid sinking into the low back. Isometrically, hug your left knee and right foot in toward each other, this will lift the pelvic floor and help you draw your low belly in and up. Finally press down through your right foot and let the heart fly up a little more. Spend 5 breaths here. change sides

“We don’t have to go anywhere

to obtain the truth.

We only need to be still

and things will reveal themselves

in the clear air of our heart.

——thich Nhat hanh

With each beat of your heart, love grows and hums as its rhythm becomes a steady, resounding song that carries you throughout the rest of your day.
Listen to your heart and honor its connection to the hearts of others. Gracefully move to the rhythm of life flowing with love for yourself through the rest of your day.

Power Points!
Of our existence

That is kinda what the chakras are like–
data in the form of energy waves directed
-or attracted
by physical similarities

Suddenly there is the picture
as in a power point!

Energy flows in and around our physical and mental bodies and
—like birds of a feather–
Or magic
Or physics
the like waves gather together.

Violet, the highest energy
of the light waves
nests as a crown on our heads
connecting us with the universe.

This violet ball of cosmic energy resonates with the vibrations of musical note ‘B’ or ‘Ti’ on the scale.

For the loveliest of sounds, search for ‘Meditation Music for the crown chakra’ and select one of the offerings to inspire your meditation.

Our sense of oneness and unity is controlled by this chakra and two of the AROMAS for your delight are Rose and Lotus.

Crown Chakra Visualization MEDITATION:

Begin your practice seated and bring your hands into prayer (Anjali Mudra) at your heart. Bring your awareness to your pelvic floor and let it rest there until you feel grounded, supported, and relaxed. Then begin to glide your awareness up the front of your spine slowly checking in and resting for a moment on each chakra as you go. Imagine the spine as a stalk or reed and draw your awareness up through the reed. Once you reach to the crown of your head, imagine there at the top of that stalk of energy a luminous white lotus flower. One by one begin to open each petal of the thousand-petaled lotus. Imagine as you open the lotus that your innermost self is merging more and more with the universe. Let this happen in the most natural and beautiful manner. Spend as much time in this visualization meditation as you like.

Set a personal intention –something to do with the oneness of all–for the day and repeat it over and over disallowing any negative thoughts, and being mindful of as many breaths as possible.

Power to you!

Mindful of our Beating Hearts

Ahh the fragrance of Rose permeates your senses

A pink stone graces your area

Be mindful of your beating heart………

Mindfulness is the only intentional, systematic activity that is not about trying to improve yourself or get anywhere else, explains Kabat-Zinn. It is simply a matter of realizing where you already are. A cartoon from The New Yorker sums it up: Two monks are sitting side by side, meditating. The younger one is giving the older one a quizzical look, to which the older one responds, “Nothing happens next. This is it.”

You can become mindful at any moment just by paying attention to your immediate experience. You can do it right now–with a awareness of of your swirling green heart chakra—What’s happening this instant? Think of yourself as an eternal witness, and just observe the moment. What do you see, hear, smell? It doesn’t matter how it feels—pleasant or unpleasant, good or bad—you roll with it because it’s what’s present; you’re not judging it. And if you notice your mind wandering, bring yourself back. Just say to yourself, “Now. Now. Now.”

Sense the beat of your heart
Here’s the most fundamental paradox of all: Mindfulness isn’t a goal, because goals are about the future, but you do have to set the intention of paying attention to what’s happening at the present moment. As you read the words printed on this page, as your eyes distinguish the black squiggles on white paper, as you feel gravity anchoring you to the planet, wake up. Become aware of being alive. Feel your beating heart. And breathe. As you draw your next breath, focus on the rise of your abdomen on the in-breath, the stream of heat through your nostrils on the out-breath, the beating of your heart. If you’re aware of that feeling right now, as you’re reading this, you’re living in the moment. Nothing happens next. It’s not a destination. This is it. You’re already there.

Have a mindful heartfelt day filled with love
